X-Men - Part 5

What story is that from?
Shortly after X-man entered 616 and met Rogue for the first time. Happened in the early issues of his ongoing

Speaking of which, what is X-man up to these days since New Mutants ended? Is he with the X-men and if so is he in any book?

X-Man hasn't popped up since New Mutant ended. Some of the dialogue from when Dani first appeared in Fearless Defenders alluded that the team is still together out in San Francisco.

Skroce's art is very dynamic, not realistic. Those pages shown have to be some of the worst stuff I've seen from him. He's done better than that.

Its about time they use the name Amazing X-men. Not keen on yet another X-men book though. They JUST launched a new one

Cool. FIRESTAR!!!!! It's about time.

I love how she and Iceman are in a book called AMAZING X-Men.

I might check that out for multiple reasons.
1.Jason Aaron
2.NIGHTCRAWLER
3. Nice Roster
4.NIGHTCRALWER

seriously, how many X-Men titles are there now?

1. X-Men
2. W&TXM
3. All-New X-Men
4. Uncanny X-Men
5. Amazing X-men

plus 2 X-Forces and X-Men Legacy
where have all the other related x-teams gone?!

they've been folded into the Xmen. At this point, its pretty much one team. Even X-force is largely made up of Xmen and the distinction almost seems arbitrary

I was excited about that until I read the premise. Azazel being an afterlife pirate is just stupid sounding. Plus, Aaron's run on Wolverine & the X-Men has been mediocre or worse since AvX, and now they're giving him a second ongoing to replace Astonishing X-Men (which had a better writer by far). I only plan on giving this a 1 arc shot to impress me. Aaron's not really done much for me and I don't care for McGuinness' art. I'm in it for Nightcrawler and Firestar. We'll see if that's enough to grab me.

And I like how Aaron's stated that he chose that roster because he wanted to show what these people are doing when they aren't teaching at the Jean Grey Academy... like we don't already know what Wolverine (Avengers, All New X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, Wolverine & the X-Men, Wolverine, etc.), Beast (All New X-Men, New Avengers, Wolverine & the X-Men), Iceman (All New X-Men, Wolverine & the X-Men, Astonishing X-Men), or Storm (All New X-Men, Wolverine & the X-Men, Uncanny X-Force) do on their off days. We've been starving for them to show up somewhere.

I swear... Marvel is such a ****e.

Pretty much all Marvel seems to be doing is removing characters I do like and replacing them with ones I could care less about. Looks my pull list is getting even smaller. :(

So what is Gambit going to be doing now that is ongoing is finishing up? I felt he was underused for years until this recent ongoing.( I've read the first six issues and really enjoyed them.) I'd love for him to join Uncanny X-force or do anything really.

They said teams are getting mish-mashed after the crossover, so who knows where he'll end up.

On the plus side at least, it will streamline Wolverine and the X-Men more, as that book will be strictly school stuff, instead of jumping between that and just adult stuff, which Amazing X-Men will focus more on with the X-team dynamic.

I always looked at WaTX as the kid book anyway. Its probably why I lost interest with it following AvX. The teachers seemed better represented as actual X-men in the pages of Astonishing, All New, Uncanny X-force and X-men

I'm still debating on dropping the book post-crossover. I'm waiting to see what's coming afterwords first, but I've honestly enjoyed only 1 issue of W&tXM since AVX ended (and 1 or 2 others were maybe mediocre). Pirate Azazel isn't making me care for Aaron's vision any more. If it weren't for Nightcrawler this would be an easy skip.

WATXM lost a ton of steam when AvX started, and it hasn't really got back on track yet. You're right, though, I didn't think of this, so I hope that's how it turns out. Maybe this will strengthen the book.

Actually, it sounded like it's just the ghost of Nightcrawler. It makes me wonder if it's just a gimmick for the first arc to get people buying it.

I'm sure some people have been looking forward to this moment for awhile:
