I thought that was Jimmy at first

After thinking about this event a little bit, I've come to the conclusion that the future X-men are the worst possible group of characters imaginable. Xorna? I don't even know! Another Wolverine offspring and four Beasts in the 616!

I thought we'd get something better for the 50th anniversary.

We don't even know is these characters will be sticking around after this event. I wouldn't worry about it. Yet.

i dont know I am hit or miss on Logan lately and could maybe use a break. I think his solo series and some others have made him intresting and a better leader. But He always rubs me the wrong way when he is a man who has killed many people, leads a death sqaud and just tried to murder Hope and young Cyclops and then turns around and judges Cyclops for killing Xavier while not in complete control and acts like the moral high tent pole of the marvel universe. He should be the last guy to judge anyone and there was a time Logan would have not been so judgemental.

None of us really cared for the premise of All New X-Men either and that's turning out well, so maybe this will be decent. Frankly, I'm so numb to time travel these days that I just shrug and hope it passes quickly. And Xorna is the one that I'm the most interested in. I always liked Xorn. I'm curious what the idea behind her is.

I loved Xorn! But since the aftermath of Morisson's run was such a disaster, I'd rather not be reminded of the convoluted mess ever again.

And ANXM had Jean, which got me excited. This cast doesn't have anyone appealing to me. So hopefully they leave soon and not take time away from other characters.

I'm sure they're just another "possible alternate future" team to be forgotten
we've seen, what, dozens of those over the years??

DOFP, Phoenix Endsong, Two different futures in Messiah Complex, visions in W&tXM, UXF's uber-militaristic future
And I know there's many more, just blanking right now

not to mention alternate realities in the current time, like AoA, X-Treme, AoX, etc

2099, Here Comes Tomorrow, MC2...

Truth be told, I love alternate universes.

It's why Exiles is still one of my favorite comics Marvel ever put out.

Exiles was such a fool proof concept that even Chuck Austen's run was good.

Chris Claremont, however...

Yea, Claremont (whom I still love) buried Exiles. World Tour was the last story I enjoyed from the comic. :(

Except for Mimic's death, I was not happy about that. :cmad:

Claremont poisoned the well. Jeff Parker, a writer whom just about every X-fan loves due to X-Men First Class, relaunched the book, and it only made it to 5 issues.

One of my favorite things Claremont was doing was Excalibur. The story of Xavier and Magneto taking care of business on Genosha was such a fantastic story, and I'm still mad at Marvel for yanking that away from him and forcing House of M to undo that wonderful story.

Freakshow needs to make a reappearance now that mutants are running around again.

Yeah, that Excalibur series was really the last time Claremont was on his game. Charles and Magneto were written great, the supporting cast was awesome, and it had a solid premise.

But, you know, "No More Mutants." Those three words really messed up the whole franchise for the next several years.

What did everyone think of Age of X? I remembered it being hyped quite a bit and Mike Carey was pretty excited about it, but no one really seemed too impressed with it and its mostly forgotten now.

All-female team, X-Men #1 preview:

I was hoping Kitty could get a new outfit but she still looks cool.

prv16373_pg2.jpg

Storm should have her own line of dresses, she's such a high-fashion but most noticEably...

Rachel's outfit is really awesome! : )

Wait!!!! Rogue is flying? and I even saw another image showing Rogue trying to stop the train. Superstrength and flight? That is the Rogue that I like. Rogue is going to be awesome! : )

I so miss Jubilee and she's bringing with her a baby that has a reason to be there. JUbilee is soooooOOOOOOooo cool! The baby looks very cute.

And the good-looking inside the plane looks like me. Just kidding. : )

I actually really enjoyed it. I wasn't a fan of how it just sorta started with no explanation and you had to buy the whole story to figure out what the heck was going on, but with the nature of the story there wasn't really any other way to do it.

But yeah, I liked it. It wasn't a story that'll reach legendary status, but it was good.

I liked the AoA and Cable future timelines.

Yeah, I forgot about the Cable future timeline. I've always found that period to be interesting. The Adventures of Cyclops of Phoenix was one of my favorite stories and a part of that was the setting. It was just really cool.

I'm curious as to where Jubilee got a baby from. Not really that interested in any of the series' characters, to be honest, but I'm interested to see Wood's approach to mainstream superheroics (a pretty rare occurrence, as I recall), plus I'm a sucker for Olivier Coipel's always-gorgeous art. Oh, and there's also the sheer novelty of seeing Psylocke in clothes for once. I wonder how they managed to get that past the editors. :wow:

Chris Claremont, however...
Man, his run was pretty good. I'm still surprised. I think that and "The Extremists" from the Marvel Knights Captain America are the only things that I actually enjoyed, and the latter seemed to be mostly John Nay Reiber's story that Austen took over halfway through for some reason.

Psylocke's been wearing clothes for a year or two now, but it is a much needed change. I can finally take her seriously as a character.

That train scene looks fantastic! This is what I want to see more of in my X-men comics! Superheroes doing superhero things!

Is Jubilee still a vampire?
