I wonder if all the X-Men and their students will be living in the mutant school again.

I kinda miss when they were only like 20 mutants in the mansion. Like a part of me wants the mutant to be an endangered species like just 500 mutants and the iconic X-Men and the villains are the ones left, with the rest in the other parts of the world. I just think there's too many mutants in the school. Like I want all the iconic X-Men in the X mansion then there's like few young X-Men trainees maybe a dozen.

Not happening Magneto is presumed dead, so X-men Blue arent likely to be posted at the mansion. Astonishing X-men isnt an official team but rather a collection of characters. The only book to be based around the school is Generation X with Gold being the traditional adult counterpart. Emma's X-Men most definitely won't be at the school

I figured that most of the big names won't be there.

I like it back in2005 when most of the bigger names were at the mansion except for a few like Forge, Dazzler, Jubilee, Banshee and Angel.

I don't hate how campell draw women how ever I do think he should be more careful or show other sides be the controversial " yeah she's hot" , "but I'm making her show too much skin too often ". when girls under 17 (rather 18) it cause's too much trouble though.

it's not unheard of with some teens . but I rather not see it with anyone 13 year's of age .

well he starting to slowly get the picture at least.

beside that also I do agree with you there should more characters of color added to this team like what the original gen x team that why I enjoy snyc skin and M added in (or what was done with the x-terminator kids under the first x-factor and new mutants before too.) had Roster wise. I guess this is why I'm liking the current champions right which young cyclops is on.

Campell managed to do that with Gen 13 art wise and there was a native american girl called Rainmaker and there was Chinese american boy mutant called grunge . it can be don here as well.

there's still time to add new characters to this team though. the thing is do the writers see it and will the editors allow it at all?

Bunn already confirmed t[BLACKOUT]hat 2-3 characters will be joining the team. the initial focus will be on establishing the O5 with this new status quo. One of those characters hinted was Kymera[/BLACKOUT]

Interesting choice. I support them building up characters that have a relation to Storm. I know Storm is probably the second most popular X-Character, yet the comics haven't done a great job giving her a cast of characters connected to her. Unlike, say, the Wolverine derivatives or the Summers fam.

These newer characters don't have to be related or connected through cloning or DNA of well establishing characters.

Like I said many times before, Marvel should be creating new stars that doesn't look like a knock off of a Marvel a lister.

Next decade, it'd be the kid of Gambit/Rogue with white streaks and red eyes with the same power as Gambit, though just like Rogue the kid couldn't touch anyone.

And it's not like there aren't plenty of unique kid already created that they have to use. They just choose not to, for whatever reason.

I actually thought some of the New X-Men would have been upgraded to actual X-Men status like ten years since it started.... There's just one, the female Wolverine.

Pixie was as well. Armor was in Astonishing (filling in the role that Kitty once had). They technically all were but then got demoted back to students. Cyclops treated the new kids as X-men in Uncanny X-men v3. I think its safe to say the Cuckoos are also without a doubt X-men. Ditto on Hope

Pixie only joined the New X-Men during the big Messiah event. While Armor was never part of the main roster. While Hope doesn't belong to the New X-Men. When I said New X-Men, I am talking about Academy X that later renamed to New X-Men.

Anyway, a lot of those kids were utilized in the spin off teams/books. Like if they were introduced then built up in a X-Men flagship title like Gambit, Jubilee, those 80s/70s recruits, I think they would have joined the a listers. Hope was close but she's in limbo since AvX ended and, she's also a rip off of Jean kinda like Prestige.

While I merely saw Goldballs, Triage, Genesis, Quirre, cuckoos, and other kids as students. Never in the same level as the actual X-Men. The case of Pixie and Armor at that time for that group of mutants was rare. Those two were the only ones that really joined the actual X-Men. Three counting, X-23.

I seriously think Marvel could create a new staple to the X-Men without being linked or being a rip off to a previous character. I just don't think its their priority.

My bad on misinterpreting what you wrote as I just lumped all the students from that era.

Pixie was defnitely a member of the New X-men and it wasnt just for Messiah Complex. She and Anole both joined during Quest for Magik and were upgraded to the official roster then

You may have only saw them as students, but Cyclop's group were written as X-men under Bendis' writing. The only veteran X-men in UXM for the bulk of that run were Scott, Emma and Magik (Magneto left early on). Those kids went on all the missions and fought alongside Scott. They were training but there was no distinction to seperate them as they were considered X-men. The Cuckoos? Those three have consistently been used as X-men. They are more than just students. We saw that again in DoX and IvX. They are Emma's right hand girls

But yeah but towards the end, when I said someone would eventually join the X-Men. I am referring to the likes of Elixir, Hellion, Mercury,Rock slide.

And the other kids, Ign also didn't consider them officially.joining the X-Men. Yeah they were there during the fights well mainly because they were in the moment of the heat and they were needed by the actual X-Men. But I don't think they got a status upgrade compare to M, the original New Mutants, Pixie and Armor. They still appeared as students and just X-Men in training.

Though I'd really like to see someone new get introduced in a flagship X title (not Gen X, not Jr X-Men) and then utilized there for a long while and we don't have to wait forever just so that mutant would be seen as an official member of the X-Men.

But if its like another X-23, Hope, a clone or relative of a big X-Men character, no thanks.

All New X-men 19 dropped and we FINALLY got an answer for why the O5 cant return to the past. Sorry guys, they are here to stay. I have to say that this issue was the BEST of the X-men finales. Art and writing were amazing and Im glad Jean is back with the group. She upgraded this book by 100. The team is finally whole and its great to see her finally be written well again. I look forward to what Bunn and Hopeless have in store

The O5 have always been, and will most likely always be, boring.

Plus, i think part of what bothers me is all their talk about not becoming what their 616 counterparts were... like yes, Jean caused destruction as Phoenix, as did Warren as archangel, Beast damn near broke the time stream, and Cyclops is a bit of an a**hole. But it also completely ignores all the amazingly heroic things those characters did over the years, all the times they saved the damn world. These kids are constantly s**ting on the real versions legacies, and i hate them for it.

Oh and also, how does this revelation jibe with the 'young cyke dies and old scott starts vanishing' moment from a couple years back??

its a clear retcon that they'll ignore. Its looking like the O5 are either alternate reality versions and Beast plucked them from the wrong past or Reed corrected things in SW so that their past versions remained in the past and these kids are 616 survivors that escaped destruction of the multiverse

lol young cyclops isn't getting book to him self. he's just on another team out side the X-men that actually just doing things right for change(by actually doing what was supposed be the dream represents) no different from rogue still leading unity avengers team and he's not leading any of these teams ether .



it's jean and young ice man that are getting books to them selves. and it been clear since older beast brought them here that young jean's the leader of this version of the original 5. so it's obvious these time displaced ones are alternate from the jump and seeing that angel wing's have went the psionc glowing route early which I've always suspected is his true potential powers and the chose's they are making just make alternate with eaCH STEP . they are definitely gonna BE ALTERNATE REALITY X-MEN.

just stop worrying about them so much. Young jean's solo will depend on alot. mostly if the writers are good for a change or if they do the same poor habit of not doing what is it needed to make good solo series, which why most soli series failed in firstb runs where X book history are invovled . like giving them arch enemies in the right way or it'll die fast. the problem is they always focusv on the wrong things.


which has always been the problem. why other's never got solo to them selve's they are missing building blocks to making good solo books and writer went to the wrong focus.

I actually hope those solo's series survive. but these writers always go the wrong way with first runs. I hope there's more for young ice man as well. but the same is likely, if they don't do the building blocks for a good solo book series be sides of the thing about relation ship problems .

but in your case I said you just shouldn't care ether way since you dislike them this much.

I'd rather see X-Men Blue consists of Forge, Polaris, Havok, adult Iceman and those other X-Men we haven't seen before in along time.

they just wanted teen that weren't adult's that apel the the young crowd it's what made marvel so loved and the X-men and spider and new warriors always did bring that for people got into them. and japan has been fallowing suit and kicking ass especially recently with young teen heroes inthe power power catigorgy with anime and manga there. si it make sense



alos it's the writer fault for not using forge enbough and sadly every has written polaris ioff since mistake of making nuts and thinking she's geneticist when she a form archeologist with false crap of saying magneto's her dad. if the writer's were n't so busy always sabotaging them the large bunch them or putting in the most screwed up relation ships as possible we'd see them . Sadly ...

All they care about is screwing them over when do show them ....
