Man, casting the X-Men is pretty hard. However, here are a couple of my choices:

Magneto = Jeremy Irons/Danel Day-Lewis
Toad = Andy Serkis (nice choice returntovoid)

Storm = Nona Gaye

That's all I could currently come up with for now. I will chime in later with the rest of my choices.

He played Bradley Bolt in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and I don't think he resembles Nightcrawler from the comics.

U know KANE I have been thinking about Nona Gaye as Storm for awhile I've just never mentioned her because I really have only seen her in The Matrix and xXx: State of the Union. She has a good look to her, how old is she?

I've only got 4 so...

Professor X: Somebody said Kevin Spacey I thought that to be an interesting choice.
Scott: I really like the idea of Josh Duhamel he has the boyscout look.
Logan: Johnny Messner I've thought of him ever since seeing him in Anacondas 2.
Storm: Kerry Washington Talented and Beautiful.

I don't think age matters, just as long as they look right. I'm sure she's somewhere in her mid-30s, though. I think she would make a fantastic storm. She's quite a talented actress.

Personally, I'd hate to see Kevin Spacey as Prof. X. Haha. I'm just not seeing it myself. I didn't think he was a great Lex Luthor. Yes, he was a great continuation of Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor, but not the Luthor from the comics. Even though he was my choice for Magneto, I think Daniel Day-Lewis would also make an excellent Charles Xavier:

I would rather see talented actors in the parts of the X-Men than people who just look the part. Josh Duhamel doesn't really have any acting talent, imo. My choice would be someone like Chris Pine. I think that Pine holds more talent than Duhamel.

^ Your right as long as they look right but at the same time you don't want someone too old even if they do look right, these movies tend to span years (at least 3) and you don't want an actor who is crossing 40 by the second film.

As for Cyclops I don't really think he needs an award winning actor (Chris isnt I know) to portray him he isn't that complex I think Josh would do well. Chris Pine reminds me of Bobby Drake more than Cyke.

True, but there's also CG to help that problem. Assuming Nona Gaye got the part, and was signed on for 3 film, even if she noticably did age, they can totally do what they did with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen in X3 with making them look younger. Personally, I think Nona looks rather youthful, and it's not like Storm is that young either. She should be in her 30s, which Nona is. Same with most of the other X-Men. They shouldn't be in their late teens or early 20's.

You're right about Pine working more as Iceman than Cyclops. I still don't think Duhamel is good enough for the part. Yes, there isn't a need for an award winning actor, but there is a need for a good actor. I just don't think Duhamel has the chops. All the X-Men have to be good actors. Otherwise, what's the point?

^^he doesn't look much like nightcrawler imo. Plus he did, already play a mutant in an xmen film, that's like casting will.i.am as bishop. And title of the thread is xmen REBOOT casting.

Dominic has Kurt's charm and playfulness. He also lived in Germany for a few years and has an excellent German accent (see the Return of the king easter egg)

I actually wouldn't mind a beast with a silver surfer style translation, have a stunt man do beast's motions in a prosthetic suit, and have someone else do the voice of him, I'd like to see the guy from CSI, the one who played Gil grissom, do the voice of beast. I always thought he was a good actor who could play and intellectual.
