I'm gonna have to argue on this one. Tieri is not about Shock Value...well maybe a little with Days of Future Now...But still when the Director blew Kitties head off....that was awesome.

He respects continuity and tells great new tales without disrespecing characters....and if you think that Killing Magot off (Off Panel) at Neverland is shock Value then you must hate comics in general...."oh geez, the only reason Spider-man punched Green oblin there was for Pure Shock Value"

Umm killin Maggot and Cecilia Reyes and ruining Wildhcild and Marrow WAS a complete waste of GREAT characters. Tieri...and Austin...went through X-Men cannon and grabbed fan favorites to be lead off to slaughter. I will hate him forever...lol..well ok...that was too strong and harsh..but I will reaaaaaalllllly dislkie him forever. Being agains tthe killin of maggot shows not a dislike of comics but a love for the character and quite frankly Tieri did not 'get' the character.

Let me try...

Neverland was a lame idea. Purely for shock value. How do you make your evil person seem evil if you can't be arsed to actually bother with the whole characterisation and storytelling rubbish?.. I KNOW! Lets make him build a concentration camp.. for mutants.. so that the comparison to Hitler is SO ridiculously great and unsubtle that even the stupidest people in the world will see that hes clearly very evil. Whats that you say? surely SOMEBODY, not to mention ALL of the most powerful mutant telepaths on the planet would notice a big extermination camp with loads of mutants being killed each day, not to mention so many mutants being attacked and rounded up by WeaponX? even without Cerebro? NO they wouldn't. Because.. umm.. no reason. They just wouldn't.
Tieri kills characters for shock value and apparently seems proud of that. His "Who should Tieri kill next?" thread on another forum seems evidence to this. Maggott died for no reason. (tho it was off panel) Did he die because his death would have great ramifications to the X-Universe? nope. He dies so that Tieri could make his Hitler Extermination Camp seem shocking. "OH MY GOD THEY KILLED AN OLD X-MAN". The fact that he actually held a poll from his fans to decide who he should kill next shows that what X-Man killed had NO RELEVANCE WHATSOEVER. He just needed to kill an X-Man for shock value. The fact no ones even noticed Maggotts death shows how little other impact this actually had.
I've not even brought up his Wolverine yet. Someone bites off Wolverines Nipple and eats out his eyeball? how is that not for shock value?

Wiccan is a straight-up magician, from what we've seen. I'm not sure about Speed; his powers are based on his mutant uncle, but he seems to be a magical creation of the Scarlet Witch's in his current state, so they might also be a kind of magic.

Ki manipulation as a power would allow me to intensify my willingness to fight, my strength, speed, and durability... it would also allow me to intimidate my enemies and make them weaker.
