- I have seen so many Tom Hardy movies, and yet I still have so many too see. Like Warrior, Locke and Legend.

Those are three of his best performances, if not necessarily best movies (Warrior is pretty solid, IMO, but Legend is a pretty rote and meh gangster flick aside from Hardy's tour de force double performance as the Kray twins).

I am most intrigued by Legend. Especially as I have heard what you just wrote a lot. The movie is whatever, but Hardy as the twins is gold. Also Emily Browning!

I liked the 13th warrior too, because I am fond of the Beowulf myth.

Desperado is almost a perfect film, it has some of my favourite gunfights in it, Banderas is cool and funny without taking himself too seriously- and Salma Hayek is unbelievably gorgeous in that film, the music from Los Lobos and other Latin artists is great - it's got everything,

Bandera is also good in Philladelphia and Evita he steals every scene in Assassins and is charming in Take the Lead. Of course he was also in Ecks v Sever, one of the worst films ever made.

He's a terrific actor and can sing ! What's not to like ?

Ugh, I'm not a big Tinker Tailor fan, but Tom Hardy exudes so much sexy cool in that role.

I LOVED that movie. I can understand why some people didn't like it much (including a lot of people I know). The pace was rather slow, but Gary Oldman....geeze that guy is a terrific actor and he was so low key, but effective. I think he showed anger twice in that movie and thought his use of that was really, really effective. That scene where he got the flying insect out of the car fit the personality perfectly. I can also understand why you think Tom Hardy is pretty hot.

Why not Stargate ? That film was a big deal when it came out and spawned a bunch of mediocre tv series.

I love Bale, one of the greatest actors of his generation.

On that list I'd put the fighter at the top - his performance is unbelievable and complex. I notice you left out the mechanic - which had one of his most extreme transformations. He's amazing in American Hustle too.

Okay, time for a career ended all too so I'll just do a top 5 for the late great Heath Ledger.

1. The Dark Knight , he takes method acting to a whole new level and I honestly still prefer this Joker to Phoenix's, no disrespect.

2. Brokeback Mountain, do I need to spell this one out ?

3. Knights Tale , because it's fun and he has enough charm to carry it.

4. 10 Things I hate about you. He does loveable rogue really well - he's essentially the Fonz in this film and works it brilliantly.

5. Two Hands. If you haven't seen it, its kind of an Australian Pulp Ficition, great fun though with a couple of intense moments.
