Let's hear your comments on the new "Bond, James Bond."

He's a hell of an actor. He seemed fine in the trailer. So far, so good. Won't be able to make a complete judgement until the movie is actually out or maybe another, more character droven trailer.

no charm, very rude, haggard blink, monotonous voice, to short, blonde, boxer nose.... he sucks

i can't give a valid opinion until i've seen him in action.

I can understand you but look at the teaser ( and the final shot ) and you will learn the true level of craig's bond...

This is a poll based on Craig's appearence in the teaser, and in promo shots for the movie...

my current views are i will wait and see.he is making me a bit more confident the more i see but until i see the film i will not know if he has won me over or not.

the teaser proved I was right. They try to adapt the bond character to craig ( who is nothing what bond has to be ) Haven't they learned from roger Moore ? James Bond has to be James Bond and nobody else. This is bond in name only ( BINO )

first i saw him on the pers confrence in london then i though : ist this man going to be bond ????? no way !! but when i saw photo's from the set i began to think that he will do it good he is also in great shape he has the biggest body of al bond's so they are really going to give a different turn to the bond movies

I don't find him much more in shape than those... But he is shorter than them, yes

I couldn't be happier with the casting of Daniel Craig. I'll take him over the horribly mediocre Pierce Brosnan anyday.

3.5

Craig looks the most fit to me.

I chose "Average... may go either way" Craig is tall and great in shape but he looks old for a 38 year old and with wrinkles on his face and with spiky hair, I never seen Bond have spiky hair but nerveless he's good actor but they could have gone with different actor.

i also chose average..may go either way.....well indeed i think he's a great actor.....but i jsut dont think he has da looks and da charm for being Bond, Like especialy da last shot of him in the teaser....

Average.

I am trying not to be so pessmistic but after looking at 300 (and seeing such films as POTO and ESPECIALLY Dear Frankie,) that Gerard Butler (who audtioned) should have been Bond?

Well he may not have the look, but he will possibly play the part right then.

Butler, actually, I don't think auditioned. He was rumored, but I don't believe there was an actual audition. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I, in no way, wanted Butler connected with the franchise, having seen most of what he's done in film including DEAR FRANKIE.

How come? He is a decent actor, has an edge to him (when he isn't in those B-movies like Dracula 2000 and Timeline) and while handsome, he is no pretty boy (in the sense of Orlando Bloom). He may not have the best singing voice (in fact it was very subpar for Phantom, but by quality acting he overcame that) he has an intensity.

Sure so does Craig, but Butler just seems a more natural choice. He's dark, intense and charismatic. Craig is a very good character actor but I have not seen him hold the lead well yet (he was passable in Layer Cake, but rather uncharismatic) and that has me a little worried (as does his middle aged blonde look, which could have been fixed if he dyed his hair black and had longer hair).

But again, we'll see though.

Butler has always bored me in any performance he was in aside from DEAR FRANKIE. I thought his work in PHANTOM was utterly shabby - he brought nothing of interest to the part whatsoever. I feel similarly about him in various other roles. He strikes me as just a boring, boring choice.

I think Craig is going to be awesome, and the film is going to be the best Bond movie for a long, long time.

It looks like EON suddenly woke up and said, "What the F*** have we been doing the last ten years when we've been supposed to be making Bond movies? Let's do it properly now."
