Your Theatre Habits

Yes, I'd say going by your own is less 'problematicly seen' as such, but going to a Pixar film (for example) as a singular male not accompanied by any children is still going to carry 'weird looks' or judgement, sadly.

Not if you go to a showing at night (eg 9pm or midnight). Kids won't be out then. You don't have to go to a matinee or early evening show. Or you could go to a matinee when the kids are all at school.

One of my friends, who turns 65 next week, is a horror fan. We're going to a matinee on Monday to see Us because he has dinner plans, and needs to be out before 4pm. :funny:

Why do people bring babies to the movies?
Don't want to or can't hire a babysitter and don't want the baby ruining their fun.
It's completely selfish but that's why they do it.

My memory of Hell or High Water will always be tainted by that family bringing in a baby and another kid who couldn't be older than 2 years old. I get that theater workers aren't paid great and they don't want to turn people away. But that should be a rule where no one under 13 is even allowed in an R rated movie.
