don't think you are heavily biased? ;)
btw, never a fan of SW. when they are so advance and can easily kill hundreds in a second, why do they still use a light saber to fight and wasting the time?
every time i see them fight for minutes... "wasn't it too stupid???"

Oh my god.

Because the trailer is aimed at audiences not connected to the Batman V Superman mythos. It was a commercial trailer for the masses.

It's the fanboys that are upset, the normal viewer who will give most of the cash seems to love it

Yeah. The trailer has gone over well with GA ,and continues to. The controversy over the trailer is really limited to fanboys on the internet, and not the GA going to see this film.

Ultimately, I this film is basically targeted alot more toward the GA and than the fanboys , and the concept, trailer, and marketing of the film, sorta reflects that. CACW and XMA are both films which play more to fan sensibilities and are built on continuity and a shared universe which fanboys like.

BvS is very much more a crowd pleasing, general audience, event film. So yeah, I suspect this film is gonna divide alot of the fans because its a film that's being made more for the general audience than for fans who had issues with MOS or feel that WB is taking the wrong approach towards the DCCU.

Great point.

I think fans are expecting the DCU to play out like some dark graphic novel for the fans and in reality we will probably see it play out closer to something akin the the MCU - which is not a bad thing. Mind you I'm not saying it will copy the MCU just become more accessible to the general audience for what it's worth.

The general audience just wants to be entertained by a movie. If the film delivers plenty of great action and characters that they like, they'll enjoy it and give it good word of mouth.

BvS will have to be a truly horrible film to not do tremendous box office given that we're getting Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman together on the same screen for the first time. After that, the momentum is still very strong for superhero films. So as long as there is good action and likable/relatable characters the DCEU should do roughly as well as the MCU.

Yeah this film should be flop proof. I don't think even bad word of mouth could torpedo this film. It might not be the smash runaway hit we were initially hoping for is all....very few films are.
