That cut black suit scene. :(

I wonder how he actually puts the suit on tbh. It looks to be one piece and I don't see zippers or flaps anywhere. And is it anti-microbial? It should be because it doesn't look breathable like at all.

Really hope you aren’t being serious here.

I mean...what's the point of that black suit? Did the Kryptonians think they needed a suit for funerals or something?

It doesn't really make much sense that the suit is just chilling in what I assume is the downed spaceship.

Zack probably showed it as an easter egg and nothing more.

That's...kinda like saying, "why do we have different colored clothing?" Even Aliens have fashion sense yo.

Does anyone have Vero? I'm really curious if Snyder with say anything about this scene.

It's a neat tip of the hat, but I don't get why some are so excited about it when we already saw a black suit in MoS? And he actually wore that one.

For me, I more like the scene. I like Superman coming into the ship and looking at the suit for the first time since he became alive again. It's like he is picturing the hero he wants to be now that he has a second chance. It's a great scene of reflection. I know it has no dialogue or anything, but still a nice character moment.

Exactly my thoughts as well. Truly reborn.

It's part of 2 min scene (I hope), and it sets up a nice parallel with MoS scene where Clark becomes Superman for the first time, this is his rebirth in a sense after getting resurrected by Motherbox in his ship.

But maybe you were OK with what was shown in Whedon's Cut, when we first see Superman ("Is this Guy bothering you ?) in the final battle.

Edit: As for the Black suit, I think it's Snyder's way of paying homage to Black Suit in comics when Superman returns to life, I don't think Superman was actually going to wear that in JL movie.

It was kind of hard to tell if that was a black one or not originally and no silver S

not that I care either but I think that's why some care/want it

This is a scout ship. Perhaps there are different suits for different functions. The black suit, which we see Jor-El and Zod wear, are just basic functional suits that go under armor. The more colorful suit Superman wears may be a ceremonial suit or a suit designed for communicating with different species (colorful and nonthreatening). Just a thought.

The one on the right side is a Kryptonian space suit, which was seen in MoS movie when Zod and company visit old Kryptonian outposts on different planets looking for survivors.

Superman's suit is basically what Kryptonians wear under their ceremonial suits. And, yes, the spaceship is downed but still functional in a limited capacity.

is that spacesuit really small or is it just me?

Considering that Supergirl coming to Earth like thousands of years ago is somewhat canon from the MOS prequel comics, maybe that suit is Supergirl's. I'm pretty sure I remember her wearing a suit like that in the prequel comics. Cool nod.

I'll never get why they didn't turn this thing into the Fortress of Solitude at the end of MoS. It pretty much wrote itself. It had the setup and everything, it was right there.

Then after resurrection (no Motherbox involved) he would go there, wear the black suit, chill for a minute and come to his senses... talk to Jor-el somehow.

Yeesh...

Someone should splice Jor El's speech from MOS with this scene. It'd be perfect.

It's just you. :o

But seriously, that pod with Spacesuit is further away from the camera as compared to the pod with the Black suit, it's looking small due to perspective. Ship's A.I. is displaying the suits that will actually fit Kal El.

Notice how doors get progressively smaller as distance increases.

There is very little objectivity when it comes to Snyder. Internet reactions are broken down into two fractions whenever observing a scene. It's the worst scene ever, it's the best scene ever.
