Zoe Kravitz IS Catwoman

There‘s been some talk about Batman‘s inexperience and him making mistakes in the film. When it comes to Catwoman I also wanna see real struggle. She should not be some super soldier like Black Widow, running through an army of men with ease. In fact I would like her to not be involved in many physical altercations (at least in the first film), and instead have her just be super sneaky and smart, finding these brilliant ways to get out of harm’s way. Until the last act, where Selina is trapped by one of Falcone’s henchmen, a completely ruthless guy more than twice her size, with nowhere to go. Her physical limitations become apparent, she gets beat up and is seriously scared for her life. In the end she somehow, some way beats the guy, not by using some absurd over the top headscissor maneuver, but by outsmarting him, using her surroundings, trapping him or whatever. But this should have an impact on her physically and mentally. No sugarcoating.

I don’t... think anyone thought she would be.

*cough* Honestly, I'd much rather have Catwoman as a "super soldier", at least in the sense that she is as broadly competent and capable as Batman ( the current Batman at this point in his career anyway ). Catwoman really works best when she's something of a foil, someone who can challenge and complicate Batman's life, and who is legitimately The Best At What She Does. I see no reason why this should require some fetishized ineffectiveness.

( Of course, I also think people are seeing a "realistic, limited" inability in *Batman* that is not actually there, either. . . )

I do think her skillset should be really different from Batman's though. Batman's skillset was acquired through billions of dollars and decades of training starting from his youth to wage a war on crime, while Catwoman's skillset was merely acquired through some really, really **** luck and having to adapt to survive, so I don't think she should be as good of a fighter as Batman, but she should have the skills someone that knows how to escape any situation she's put in... which is how it is in the comics, anyway.

Agree. It’s the differences that make their relationship interesting. Selina knows how to get in and out of things easily and get herself out of some sticky situations. She can’t fight like Batman can but he also can struggle where she excels.

A little manip, just for fun :

Honestly with Zoe being as small as she is, this gives this version of Selina a particular type of advantage Batman doesn't have.

I don’t know what’s worse. This or the comments saying she should be Talia.

Hey, if I get annoyed, we’re ALL getting annoyed. :o

I understand Sawyer. Like whenever Grace Randolph was posting garbage about Mandalorian/Pedro Pascal that became widespread news it got me steamed, like steamed. And I would discuss it here if it came up. However, I always try to avoid posting her videos or replying to her tweets or what not because it gives her more social media engagement and clicks, which is what lying, fraudulent parasites like her, Mike Zeroh, and their ilk want.

Oof...Zoe is a faaaar better actress. Eiza I saw recently in Hobbs and Shaw. She's kind of standard pretty woman that fits perfectly in the Fast and Furious realm but Reeve's made a better choice in Zoe who I think will bring much more to the character. On top of that, no way Eiza could play a deep or convincing version of Talia. (Canadian Accent) Sorry, not sorry.

I just want Zoe and Pattinson to have real chemistry. Michelle and Keaton both sold the awkwardness and intensity of a new relationship, something they apparently had in real life.

Bale and Hathaway never got close to that and Nolan also shares some of the blame. I cheered at the end of TDKR because Bruce got a happy ending but their whole dynamic made zero sense to me. This woman set you up and almost killed you and you still enlist her help without any sort of apology?? You can trust her that easily after all that? Never bought it and TBH, bad actress or not, the only one he had any chemistry with was Katie...
