Yep, that's me. Standing up for them thar woman abusers.

Alternatively, and as represented by what I actually wrote, I took affront to the way in which you personally and the board in general colluded in another member being abused and victimized until he felt compelled to leave.

You are making the most farcical allegations and throwing around the most disproportionate and inaccurate labels, that I simply cannot believe that somebody like you is acting as a moderator.

Mods and posters colluded????? If that is the case Reg, then you need to take the proof that you have and get in touch with an Admin....because that is wrong, and should be dealt with....

Anybody reading Batman Incorporated?

I love the way Morrison writes Bruce and Selina.

I do hope we get to see them team up at some point in the movie.
Yeah, it's very sweet, like they are life partners who understand each others little quirks and weaknesses, and love each other all the more.

Can't see how they would reach that point over 150 mins, though.

I haven't read it yet, the plot seem really meh to me.

The first two issues have been very fun. I'm hit or miss with Morrison but I love what he's doing here.

Really, "fun" is the best way to describe it.

Is it? I haven't read his recent stuff honestly; after R.I.P., everything he's done has been confusing.

We're in the same boat. I didn't care for RIP and really couldn't stand Return of Bruce Wayne, but everything since Bruce's return has been gold.

Inc is not confusing at all (so far, we're only two issues in :cwink:), it's pretty much Bruce and Selina bouncing around Japan dealing with wacky Japanese heroes and villains, such as the awesomely named Lord Death Man.

I'd read that!!!!!! :woot: Honestly, it was before R.I.P.; it all started really when Joker got shot and started to go REALLY nuts afterwards. It's just odd coming from the guy who gave me Arkham Asylum, Gothic, and several other stories I thought he wrote brilliantly; and then R.I.P and the Return of Bruce Wayne came out, and I thought he was literally turning into Lewis Carol.

yanick paquette draws the best catwoman I've ever seen

Definitely one of my favorites.

Also, Dustin Nguyen -

Between his art and Paul Dini's writing, in Heart of Hush and now in Streets of Gotham, they've crafted an incredible tenderness between Bruce and Selina.

I thought Batman RIP was amazing, because it made Batman seem genuinely fallible and vulnerable for the first time since Knightfall. It takes something to write a villain more threatening than the Joker, but Morrison managed it in Simon Hurt. Why? Because the Black Glove attacked Bruce's very weakest spot: the reputation of his parents, and their legacy. Only that could destroy Batman's mission forever.

I think it will be remembered as a classic, in time.

Call me biased, but my favorite will always be Jim Lee.

I'll also say Tim Sale because, literally, I'll say again that his Selina looks like Hathaway; it blows my mind!!!! :wow:

Hmm, maybe in that panel she does, but overall I don't think she looks much like hathaway.

My favorite depiction from the comics that I've read. I plan on picking up When In Rome very soon. Is it worth checking out?

I like jim lee's catwoman, but she's a little lanky, and his women tend to have samey faces.

Loved RIP, but felt Morrisons direction after it has kind of ruined Batman for me. If i bump into him I'm going to give him a piece of my mind.

Morrison's run is my favorite batman run. It also has more re-readability than any other batman run.

I also thought Gothic was one of the worst graphic novels ever. I just feel he tries to make Batman very un-batman. Love the majority of his non-batman stuff though.

I haven't!!!! I've been meaning to pick up a copy actually, but recently I just invested in Vengeance of Bane and the first 30 issues of LOTDK. LOL I heard it's a great prequel to LH and DV, and being a big comic and Batman fan, I'd grab a copy when I have the chance; if you can, get a copy of just the graphic novel to keep for reading and then see if you can scout down the original issues for collectors. I've got a feeling those might start going up in price; Knightfall and Vengeance of Bane is actually taking a toll on price right now, in which I honestly believe, will sky rocket in value within the next 5 months. :word:

Ha! one of the things I love most about his batman characters is that they feel like real people. it doesn't read like he's creating dialogue, just that he's channeling the essence of the characters into his story and they're naturally relating to one another. He manages to make bruce an alpha male plus, someone capable of inspiring people to join the bat-family, and not fall into the trap of making him a *****e or a psychopath.

I read Hush recently, and it definitely made the Batman/Catwoman relationship more appealing to me. I hadn't read any Batman comics until recently besides The Dark Knight Returns, so my only exposure to their relationship was Batman Returns. (Which I couldn't see flying at all in the Nolan series.) However, the more reluctant Batman with real motivation depicted here made it all very interesting.

As for When in Rome, for whoever asked, it's worth checking out. A quick read, but a good premise drags it out adequately.

I was wondering on the many ways that Catwoman can be presented differently and originally in this one. I think I'd like to see Selina Kyle actually preparing for a job or a heist and see how she plans it out. I don't really recall reading anything directly from the comics that ever elaborated on the 'how' of her burglaries. The extensive planning before she goes into one, the research needed, etc. The closest I can think of is that Darwin Cooke novel but that was a full-fledged heist story, something to that grand an extent isn't necessary for what I'm implying.

Any thoughts on this?
