yea for all we know episode titles have always have had double meanings or more. So if zod is back, beacon could be he some hows gets back to earth due to the book of rao(beacon.....), chloe leaves a marker to find her(beacon) or its clark as the blur going out more from the shadows(not revealing he is clark kent of course and would also mean he is a beacon).

Whitehead tweeted that he and his wife, Henderson, are writing Beacon and Chloe will return in this one. I think the ones who knows Chloe's whereabouts are Dr. Hamilton and Tess. Dr. Hamilton was the last person with Chloe when Clark went off to save Tess back in Lazarus.

So far, Henderson and Whitehead have given us great episodes this season with Lazarus and Ambush. I hope third time's the charm because I feel they're the ones who have shined as writers.

Well I personally don't mind who is writing what. Every episode is a new bag. Some times they turn out great other times we get a few duds. All the writers on the show have a wide range of good/bad/ok episodes.

‘Smallville’: The Latest On Two Super Returns!

It wouldn’t be the final season of ‘Smallville‘ if Clark’s mother didn’t put in an appearance (or more). To that end, Fancast has learned that original cast member Annette O’Toole will reprise her role of Martha Kent in Season 10’s 13th episode, titled “Beacon.”

A show rep also has confirmed for Fancast a return timetable for Allison Mack, who is only booked for five episodes this season: The actress will be back as Chloe in Episode 12, “Collateral.”

Both episodes will air in early 2011.

In tandem with real-life hubby Michael McKean (as Perry White), O’Toole last appeared in the May 2010 episode “Hostage,” where it was revealed that Senator Kent was moonlighting as the mysterious Red Queen out to outsmart Checkmate. At the end of that episode, Martha gifted her son with what would later be revealed as (gooseflesh alert!) Clark’s first “supersuit,” currently entombed in the Fortress Of Solitude.

O’Toole also can be seen delivering a terrific guest-starring turn on the Nov. 22 episode of Fox’s ‘Lie To me.’

Mack dropped down to recurring status this season to pursue other projects, including a Broadway play that kept her busy late summer/early fall. As such, Chloe – having seen a glimpse of the future with Dr. Fate’s helmet – sacrificed herself to be taken prisoner and spirited away by the Suicide Squad in the season opener.

At least Beacon will not be about Chloe solely. I'd like to see Martha's reaction to Clark's red shield jacket. I can picture Clark standing on the rooftop with his red shield jacket and Martha joining him up there with her Red Queen garb.

The only way that both Jonathan Kent and Lionel Luthor can be in this episode is if they came from the parallel universe in Luthor.

Great news annette is back for this episode. Can't wait to see what her story id. Also great glover will be in episode too. Curious to see what they are planning to do with him. I doubt chloe retun and storyline will be that big of a deal. Plus we have no clue what will happen with ollie/chloe. They could break up and he and dinah start up romance.

It looks like Jonathan Kent is not in this episode. I can see Clark wanting to get his hands on AU Lionel again.

Considering he tossed AU Lionel around like kindling wood, yeah, I think he wants to do that some more. Dozens of times probably.

Also, I don't know why Johnathan Kent can't come back without being from that alternate universe. He was there in Lazarus.

It's not like he's a figment of Clark's imagination.

I mean, really, Johnathan can come back any time he wants to. He'll just be hard to see by anyone but Clark and whoever else he shows himself to.

well we dont really know what pa kent deal is, i think he was just a vision thing. and maybe he will be in this episode if not there is still many episodes left in the season. we dont know there plan for pa kent at this time. now as for alt lionel really interested to see what happens with him.

I know, we don't know how things will go with Pa Kent, all I know is that Superman doesn't have visual hallucinations unless he's affected by LSD Kryptonite. Which doesn't exist.

Or the Jewel K in that one comic, the one that made him act like he was stoned. I'm not making that up. I really am not.

So, yeah, until I'm told by someone who works for Smallville, I'm going to say that Pa Kent is an Angel/ghost/spirit being/whatever else works.

Also, you can't hug visions.

I wouldn't complain if they revealed it was Highfather in disguise. Although, why the leader of New Genesis would do that, I don't know.
You know, if they ever casted Highfather, they should try to get the guy who played Odin on Xena. That would be a great casting choice. And like most people who were on Xena, they wouldn't cost that much!

We'll find out soon enough. But yeah, no silly Alternate universe Johnathan Kents here.
That would be the same level of silliness as casting Gilbert Godfrey to play one of Darkseid's louder minions.

I don't think that will happen. I doubt the new gods will been seen at all. Maybe a refrence in a upcoming darkseid/minions episode. We will see. I will say he probably is just an angel or ghost/spirit. Since we know ghosts are in the world.

Yeah, I know they won't reference them, but I miss the guy who played Odin on Xena, he was a great casting choice.

Kevin Smith would have been awesome to see on Smallville, he played Ares, sadly he died in 2003.

Clark’s friends assure him that he is, indeed, making a difference in his crime-fighting role as The Blur, and to prove their point, they show him videos from the Internet in which ordinary citizens express what The Blur means to them, what it means to be a hero – and what it means to have heroes and believe in them.
