Zorex said:Thanks, and in response... The show promises nothing, that is also a lesson I learned long ago, but I was convinced that, with what had transpired during this season (the VRA, needing beacons of light and hope, heroes that went public facing backlash), they would show how Superman changes things, which we did not see. That, to me, is a lack of resolution and payoff.
But didnt he stop Apokolips from coming to Earth because he was the light and hope that the people wanted to see. Hence, why all of those Omega symbols disappeared.
Honestly, I find that reasoning flawed.
Flawed? That's a bit harsh. Sniff...sniff

In the Finale, we saw Clark in the Superman costume, flying and saving the world. Doesn't that constitute the end of the show, too? Yet, the Finale didn't just end there. My argument is, if we can see Superman be Superman, why can't we see him named as such, instead of that being left to Offscreenville and a practically throwaway reference by Chloe?
I'm no Chloe fan, so I was disappointed that she was the one that got to say it, but do you think if Lois had been the one to say it at the right moment you would have felt differently.
I think if she'd said it when she started to do her broadcast aboard Airforce One I would have been a much happier camper.

They did witness it... what I'm guessing alot of us would have liked to have seen is Clark's reaction to them witnessing it and that probably would have made all the difference, but in turn that would have required a full on view of Superman, for whatever reason we didnt get.
