10 Minute Short In Front Of Thor

I'd like see a 10 minute movie on Black Panther or Giant-Man

Giant-Man would be awesome. I'm still a bit annoyed that they're not using Hank for Avengers.

The Champion VS the Marvel Strong Men.

......BALDER would be even better, something explaining WHERE he's at.....Like maybe being held by Dark Elves? :woot:

i think he meant like a donald duck short, wb is starting to run looney toons in front of kids movies again now

Pixar's done a great job with that format, too. The two street musicians fighting over the little girl's coin is one of my favorites, not to mention the jackalope one and the birds one.

the one in front of toy story was really cool, night and day. the short in front of cars2 will probably be the only reason to buy a ticket to that one

I'm sure I'll wind up watching Cars 2, although I resent the hell out of it for taking Pixar's time rather than some new thing. With Cars 2 coming hot on the heels of Toy Story 3, I hope Pixar isn't drifting into retread territory. I don't want a bunch of sequels at the expense of amazing new stuff like Up and Wall-E. On top of that, Cars is easily the weakest Pixar franchise. The first movie was still decent because Pixar seems incapable of putting out terrible movies, but I was left distinctly unstatisfied after watching it.

yeah, but those hot wheels and t-shirts sell. the reason there's going to be cars 2 is disney wants a new commercial. i wish they'd have just made a cartoon for it instead

Meh. They should have a quick short with the Incredibles saving the day before it. That would be enough to make anything Cars 2 could throw at me bearable.

Actually, Disney owns Marvel now. They should have a quick short with the Incredibles saving the day before Thor. :awesome:

OR they could get pixar to do a heroes for hire short to put in front of thor:awesome:

Ooh, or Ant-Man! Didn't Lasseter mention that he loved Ant-Man when the whole merger business was happening? That'd be a great way to make up for Marvel cutting Hank out of Avengers.

Although, really, Pixar animating any Marvel characters would be like a dream come true for me.

antman isn't getting bubkis until edgar wright finally makes that movie. we may not even get to see ultron in an avengers movie because of it :csad: :argh:

One of the comedic characters in Marvel's stable. I hate to say it, but Deadpool would get the kids excited.

Gimmie a short with the Impossible Man and the Guardians of the Galaxy. Gimmie Rocket Racoon, Groot, Bug, and Drax trying to stop Impossible Man from turning into Galactus and eating some planet.

A Galactus short would be good and gloomy on the other end of the spectrum. I'd like a Doom short. Books of Doom was a cool idea. A reporter interviewing Doom and him telling about his past.

So many options. All animated of course.

:doom: :doom: :doom:

I'd leave something like Books of Doom for live-action. If you're gonna animate the short and attach it to a live-action movie, you should take advantage of the animation and go balls-to-the-wall crazy with it. A Guardians short would be awesome, but I imagine Marvel/Disney want to concentrate more on franchises with a shot of making it to big-budget movies someday, which Guardians of the Galaxy, sadly, probably doesn't have.

only the impossible man and the guardians of the galaxy is do-able from that list, and maybe not even that one. fox has the rights to a solid chunk of characters

I thought that thanks to Superhero Squad, they had animated access to the whole universe.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

i don't think so, that's television animation and the short would technically be a theatrical release, those are different rights

Prolly right. I hope not.

As mentioned before, Valkyrie would be great for Thor. Live or traditional animation. Don't like the idea of Pixar and ancient themes. I always associate them with modern moods and themes. I could be wrong. But it makes me think it would look more He-Man than Kirby.

Hmmm... what would be some more great marriages for Pixar?

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Eh, just because we haven't seen them do ancient stuff, doesn't mean they couldn't. That's part of the fun of all their new stuff--seeing how they apply their distinctive style and level of quality to other subject matter.
