Superman Returns 11 Clips Posted on IESB!

You're right Cinnamon.

Superman is 'human' emotionally. I think ignorant people don't see that. It show his weaknesses: Through his heart.

In that case, he isn't "Super" at all. He is just human. In whatever capacity you see Superman in, he has to always do what is right and just. That's the essense of Superman. Truth, Justice... all that stuff.

WRONG

I was talking about users like Desk
Me and Desk are the only 2 with the same opinion in this section and you used the term "they"

They will say anything so they have something to complain about something that is not there. You guys are right Superman is just simply trying to show Lois why the World still needs a Hero if anything it is LOIS putting the moves on HIM

Woo
Just because someone doesnt like how a scene goes down I wouldnt label them a hater, If you look back Hunter made it clear he liked stuff. I do agree there are a few who pop in simply to stir the pot but others are capable of debating without insulting and labeling each other.

Loved the clips, I just wish clark would crash through the top of the elevator because I didn't hear it.

I know what you mean. It's disgraceful how some of these "likers" per se act around here. Hey, not everyone will like everything about a movie. They need to get that through their heads.

either they cant... or they wont :(

not to knock anybody's age here but these here parts are in serious need of a maturity check.

Perhaps he is simply trying to get her to like him again. She hates him when she comes back & Superman is not the type to simply let People hate him so easily. Well aside from Lex :o

Like him? Well, excuse me. She was in love with him. He knew that. And now he returns, and wants her to like him again? Like leads to love, and thats what good ol' Supes is trying to play at. Don't kid yourself. The scene is a massacre for Superman's virtuous character.

I know she can't hear but it's used to illustrate the point. He knows that people need help because he can hear them crying for one. No problem with disagreeing, I dont agree that one line, "Not like this" and a moonlight flight with Lois puts Superman in a less than honorable light.

Ok that's cool but to me i wouldn't go on a moonlight walk with a woman who is spoken for who has a child,it's just asking for something to happen

Yep it's getting to the point that we all might as well post "it's Awesome best movie ever!!!" and just leave it at that

As I think, Singer is trying to make this movie not for only fans, but also for general people, who have doubts about this movie.

That scene was for general people, because it says that emotional side of Supes can be showed not only for himself.

Besides I see that scene also for fans. It reminds that fly from STM.

Singer made a great job trying to show this movie with positive side for general people and fans.

While X3 had only vissual effects and terrible storylines, SR has love story, very smart dialogues, excellent acting and enough action.

It is perfect Superman movie.

And I see it being even one of the best comic book movies.

But there is also dark side, Lex Luthor and NK. It is atmosphere, where Superman feels himself uncomfortable.

So I see there movie for general people and fanboys with light and dark sides, which can show the whole atmosphere and be used for people to feel, what the main hero feels.

Superman is trying to be not only human (emotinaly side), but also kryptonian with his destiny and history. He is trying to connect those 2 difficult sides.

& I WAS TALKING ABOUT THOSE IN MY COMMENT. I WAS NOT TALKING ABOUT HUNTER RIDER. NOT TALKING ABOUT HUNTER RIDER. PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU READ FIRST. BUT NO NO ONE WILL EVER DO THAT

You had better calm down or you are going to be banned--Dew

Opinion's are opinions and they can't really be deemed as "right" or "wrong." My opinion on that particular sequence just happens to agree with your opinion. Doesn't mean we are on some poster created "Fanboy" side together against the "Haters" of the universe. There is no "they" and there is no "us".

I was having a nice debate with Hunter based on what I consider intellegience. I respect Hunter greatly and I hope the feeling is mutual. Don't insert me into some category that you have proudly inserted yourself into, I have my problems with certain areas of production as well.

right i'm off to the pub.. if i want to see fighting..there will probably be one there.

I understand your feelings, and I can't say that I would either, but I never spent a night with Lois!

I miss the oldbies. The newbie posters who come here for a month or so try to act as if they've been here the whole way through. They try to super-impose their opinions, and establish themselves as first class trolls. They're opinion is final, and no ones opinion matters to them, as long as it's different from theirs.

Wesyeed is gonna flip out in a case of gigglies when he sees the kid running around with a basket on his head. I think I know what his next avvy should be:)

heh i'm tempted to make a superman joke out of that

Temptations... yeah, I know what they are... I'm being tempted to start a flamewar... hmmm...

the "superman sees anything" clip was funny and insightful

insightful for learning that supermans hearing isn't as crisp sounding as smallvilles version and Reeve's version but more of a synthesizer or robotic sounding

funny for jason with a garbage can over his head, had me thinking about the scenes from "ET" and the ghost costume lol

A larger font will not convey your message any better. Be civil, and people will listen to you.

Might be time for me to dust off the "Art of Civility" thread.

It was one of the high points of the clips. I liked the scene. Richard seems to be a nice guy, and he really seems to hold his own around Lois. It's good to see them laughing and talking together. And the super-hearing effect has improved over the years. I like Singer's version better than what they did in Smallville.
