Do you have any phobias or irrational fears?

As you know, the ten year anniversary of 9/11 is upon us. What are your thoughts on that day from a canadian viewpoint?

If someone scared you, would you jump, cuss, or strike out at it?

Do you chew gum when you sleep?

Do you like to try new foods?

Do you cherish fond memories?

Do you wish for things you know you can never have?

Is life good to you?

Do you know how much you mean to the people who care for you?

Marx
Are you into mythology?
Beyond Thor and Hercules comics.....not really. It is interesting but something I was never passionate about.

Do you have any phobias or irrational fears?
Heh, not as much scared as I freak out about it, but I hate being held down or restrained. I mean HATE. If I was restricted in any way I will pretty much break a bone if I have to, to get out of being restrained. Should be interesting if I ever get arrested.

I think it may have originated from my brother (much older) who would use to hold me down and spit in my face and things like that. We are good now but we used to fight badly all the time. Don't feel bad for me as I use to get him back all the time. I would wake him up by pissing on him....of course I was 5 at the time....:awesome:

I remember that day quite well as I was at work when I got a phone call saying the US was being attacked and that the WTC was hit with a plane and the Pentagon was on fire, so I turned on the tv and saw the footage unfold. I couldn't believe what I saw, it was a bit surreal. Whether you are American, Canadian, European, Asian, or where ever you are from, you are going to be impacted by a tragedy like that. I know of a lot of people who helped out American citizens who's flights were redirected to Canada. It's hard to believe it has been 10 years now as it seems so long ago but as though time has gone by so quickly.

If someone scared you, would you jump, cuss, or strike out at it?

I would probably swing at them. I don't like being touched especially around the neck and I don't get startled easy so if they grabbed me I would probably take them down.

Do you chew gum when you sleep?

No I don't like gum so I don't chew when I am awake, I feel like a cow.

Do you like to try new foods?

All the time, I try everything at least once. If I don't like it, I don't try it again but you just don't know until you try it.

Do you cherish fond memories?

Yes

Do you wish for things you know you can never have?

I have learned that to be happy you must be happy with what you do have and stop worrying about the things you can never have. If you spend your life worrying, than you miss the life you have.

Is life good to you?

It is sometimes good but it is sometimes bad. You go one day at a time.

Do you know how much you mean to the people who care for you?

Not really, I have major trust issues and I don't open up to many and I usually end up being a prick to people. Some deserve it, and some don't.

Are you related to the Powdered Toast Man ?

Do you know all the words to Oh Canada ?

You change your story eh? Hahaha that's funny. I thought you capitalized POW as in, like, classic comic book action noises. "POW!" "KABLAM!" etc.

Hmmm nice movie choices!

& awww, congrats on the wife. You sound so sweet.

Aww... Canadians aren't so bad after all. :p

Are you related to the Powdered Toast Man ?

Yes he is my second cousin, twice removed on my mother's side.

Actually he is partially responsible for my choice for a username.

Do you know all the words to Oh Canada ?

Of course, we sing it before every hockey game so we get a lot of practice. I also know it in English and French.

heh, I might have to use that reason for the next time. Thanks for the suggestion! :p

Thanks, we met in high school on Valentine's Day through mutual friends.

What is the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?

What are your thoughts on ketchip potato chips? Are you a fan?

He held you down AND spit in your face? That's horrible man! :down

I remember watching a special on how Canada helped us out on that day with allowing planes to land in your ports.

What is the weirdest thing you've ever eaten?
I have eaten escargot on more than one occasion. It's actually pretty good, and the texture reminds me of mushrooms.

I like to eat my potato chips with milk especially dill pickle chips. I find it actually cleanses my palate so I can enjoy them better.

I have of course had moose and deer meat. I prefer deer as I find moose a bit more tough.

I have also tried cow heart and brain before but I probably wouldn't want it again.

What are your thoughts on ketchip potato chips? Are you a fan?

Ketchup? It's not bad but not my first choice. I do prefer dill pickle, all dressed, and BBQ.

Do you consider yourself a good cook? If so, what would you say is your speciality?

He held you down AND spit in your face? That's horrible man! :down

Meh, ancient history....like I said I got him back many times in different ways. We use to fight about everything but now we are pretty good with each other. He is there when I need him and I am there when he needs me.

Good cook? I am not sure about that but am I a capable cook? Yes I am not bad. I cook all the time for my kids.

I am good at making pizzas from scratch, dough and sauce included. I worked in a local pizza place in high school so I learned all about that.

I also enjoy making my special desert crepes and I cook a lot of seafood, including clam chowders and pasta dishes. I don't know what I would consider my specialty, I guess my grandmother's homemade spaghetti sauce.

TRUE homemade pizza sounds great man!

What is your favorite pizza? (toppings and crust)

Did the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico affect your love of seafood?

I enjoy cheddar cheese, spicy sausage, hot banana peppers, pepperoni, and spanish onions together. I also enjoy a simple tomato and basil pizza. (think bruschetta)

As for garlic fingers I like some cheddar cheese and some dill pickle slices.

As for crust I like thin crust or stuffed crust with cream cheese.

Did the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico affect your love of seafood?

Not really as we get all our seafood from Atlantic waters. Though it was upsetting to watch to see how much damage it caused.

I see that you're a fan of spicy sausage and hot banana peppers. Is it safe to say you love all kinds of spicy food?

How do your political views compare to those of your family? Are you similar? More conservative? More liberal?

I see that you're a fan of spicy sausage and hot banana peppers. Is it safe to say you love all kinds of spicy food?

I certainly enjoy spicy foods, but I do not eat the spiciest things out there to prove something. I am older and wiser now and I prefer to being able to taste my food and not spend all night on the toilet.

When I was younger I would eat the spiciest foods but I would pay for it that night.

How do your political views compare to those of your family? Are you similar? More conservative? More liberal?

I think most of my family would be considered Liberals in the traditional sense however in Canada I find the issues of each party get clouded and they are voting more on the leader who they think would do the best job instead of the party itself and its issues. Unfortunately we have elected a PM where nearly 60% of the popular vote did not vote for him but he still gets to be PM for the next 4 years and he has a majority government. Let's just say I am looking forward to these 4 years being up. Unfortunately a person who I felt could challenge him in the next election died recently after his battle with cancer. He was a guy for the people and he had so much positive energy for the future. He believed in making a difference and making changes to improve this country. It was a very somber time right now, and the person to fill his shoes will have a difficult time...RIP Mr. Layton.

Have you ever been through a natural disaster? If so, what?

Hey Powder,

I hope you are well.

So when did you last play golf?

What did you shoot?

How is life in general?

Have you ever been through a natural disaster? If so, what?

Not really, by the time Hurricane's reach us it is basically a tropical storm which to me is basically a really windy day. We never have earthquakes or tornados as well.

The worst we get are snow storms and although we may get 30, 40, or 50 centimeters at any one snowfall, and that may be considered a natural disaster to some States in the US, we call that a Monday....or maybe a Friday....or even a Saturday.

When it snows that much we just stay at home and watch Survivor.
