This is officially the Year of the Upset.

What the hell is up with offensive pass interference...what, is the defense supposed to get a fair chance to intercept??

They toss about the phrase 'equal right to the ball', but regardless, the receiver isn't supposed to put two hands in the DBs back and push.

I can see where they were coming from with the call, but Jesus. It was a bit touchy, and such a killer (friggin' 4th and 22).

He didn't shove him, but it was obvious, almost brazen. The WR really didn't need to touch the corner. He had pretty good position.

I'll take it though. I've wanted another Florida school to gain national prominence and play some big time ball for a while, but the excess USF love this season (particularly this week) was nauseating. The media craze needs to wait until they actually put a whole season together.

But WTF was up with the "forward pass" on the blocked punt?

He batted the ball forward so his teammate would have a better shot at taking it to the house. You can't advance a fumble like that. One touch looked incidental, but the second was just bold. I was screaming.

Goodness, this game has 1600 comments over at ESPN.

Honestly that Pass Int. call should not of been made in that situation.

Refs, let the kids play.

Another team gets handed a loss. I know it's still a little far-fetched to say Kansas could get into the BCS Championship (hell, I still don't count on it), but it's getting that much harder for me to tell my friends to be realistic when they present the possibility.

Here's my OSU/MSU score.

Michigan State 31 #1 Ohio State 27

I know its the year of the upset, but I think thats asking for a bit much.

Just got this off ESPN.com, crazy shiite.

Storm fuels distressing end to USC's chartered flight
Associated Press

Updated: October 19, 2007, 12:14 PM ET

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- USC's football team, coaches and staff endured several terrifying minutes as their chartered flight to South Bend plummeted amid a severe thunderstorm, forcing the pilot to abort his first landing attempt.

About 125 people, including 82 players, coach Pete Carroll and most of the coaching staff faced a harrowing end to their trip across the country for Saturday's game.

"There was a moment there when I was thinking, 'This is it,' " Dennis ****ak, USC's director of football operations, told The Los Angeles Times.

USC sports information director Tim Tessalone told The Associated Press on Friday that some passengers were thrown from their seats by turbulence as lightning cracked around the storm-tossed aircraft about 9 p.m. Thursday.

"It was a little bit of a roller coaster drop there for a minute," he said. "We had some people fly out of some seats. Everybody is fine, but it was a frightening little dip there."

The pilot aborted the approach and circled around the storm before landing without incident about 20 minutes later to the relief of the shaken team and the spouses of some staff members also on the flight, Tessalone said.

Safety Taylor Mays said he was screaming.

At their hotel, senior defensive end Lawrence Jackson said he was going to see the team trainer because a Popsicle stick had pierced the inside of his mouth during the drop.

"That was terrifying," fullback Stanley Havili said. "I thought I was going to die."

Quarterback John David Booty said, "It wasn't the worst flight I've ever been on, but it was definitely the biggest drop."

I'm glad that turned out as well as it did.

Surprised that no one has yet said anything along the lines of "They fell as far as they did in the polls...."
