the conversation should go like this on Jan 21st:

Obama: Hello, this is the President

NCAA Office: Hello, Mr. President....what, uh, what can we do for you?

Obama: You folks might have heard that I would like an 8 team playoff in college football...spirit of competition and a fair chance for all...

NCAA: Well, Mr. President, we did hear about that...but it's all very complicated..we have all these bowl games and the BCS system...

Obama: Well, the BCS is a novel concept, but it isn't fair...it isn't the change we need...every team should have an opportunity...don't you agree?

NCAA: It's all very....complicated

Obama: All right, listen here....either come up with an 8 team playoff system that incorporates the BCS game or I send Joe Biden down there....He wants you to say 'No'...he wants to go down there....I'll leave it up to you

Ole Miss and Mississippi State have their annual clash in a few weeks, I'd kill to have Lou Holtz call that game on TV. The entire state would be soaked in spit.

Sly Croom will probably lose his job after that game.

That'd be a shame. Croom's a good guy. I thought they were (relatively) on the way up after that 8-5 season last year.

Indeed, Croom has done very well given the talent level that he's got. They beat Vandy, and should have beaten Auburn and Kentucky. Knocking off Arkansas is the only thing left for em, and then they prepare for 09.

Barring a series of collapses at Georgia, Florida, LSU, Alabama (and even Tennessee and Auburn), there's only so much competition that Mississippi State is going to provide in the SEC in any given year.

Aye, as a Carolina fan, I know this pain. :csad:

Geesh...I thought Mark Mangino was bad, Ralph Fridgen looks verryyyy unhealthy.

You're gonna get Juiced, just wait. :o

I give your guys credit. After Iowa came back and tied the game, Your team drove right down the field for the winning FG. :csad:

This saturday Iowa Host Penn State.
It Snowed here on Friday for a couple of hours.
Maybe the weather will help the Hawkeyes. :cwink:

I still believe in RichRod. The cupboard was bare.

Having said that, I always believed Big Blue had a shot at a Big 10 title each and every year Lloyd Carr was in charge, and that says something about Carr. I still don't miss him, though.

I personally didn't believe that the Illini deserved to win, but obviously I'm not complaining. ;)

:whatever:

Maybe you need to give up trying to understand football round these parts.

Eff the Cubs. I'm a Rangers fan, and I still support them. :( At least the Cubs can make the playoffs.

Dawgs lead Kentucky at the half. The wind up there is a nightmare.

O.O I'm not alone? I thought I was the only one!
haha...me and my bro try to go to as many games as possible every year...they are soo fun to watch...i prefer them over the mavericks which i know is sad...but i can actually afford good seats at the rangers games
