I don't blame him.

Seeing how Mallett usually acts on the sidelines when things don't go his way (if he's in the game at all, ex. Illinois game), he's a cocky little kid. I imagine he wants to go to a place where he fits in and can start right off the bat. I'm sure Neuheisel will want him to. Maybe.

Well I'm not sure how credible any reports are yet. I won't believe it till Rick talks about it. I remember everyone and their mother was saying that Coach Walker was leaving UCLA.

I'm not sure if he can start right off the bat. We have a pair of elite quarterbacks coming to Westwood when he's done with his transition year. Still it would be a good addition. We depended on a walk-on quarterback this year so depth would be greatly appreciated.

RichRod's run the spread with dropback guys before. I hope he stays, but again, Pryor might make it okay.

Since it's a continuing trend for Michigan to hire WVU coaches...

Yeah, saw that last night right before I went to sleep.

Oh well. I'm sure he's looking around at least.
The rumor is that it's between UCLA and Tennessee. It doesn't matter much to me but I wouldn't mind mind if he came over.

Devin Thomas has signed an agent and is entering the 2008 NFL Draft.

God I'll miss him. I wished he stayed another year.

'08-'09 Heisman: Kevin mutha ****ing Smith!
Yeah, about that ...no.

There's a reason he wasn't invited to New York this year and if he does manage to get one next year, there's no way he wins.
I'm not really surprised. He's done pretty much all he can do at Hawaii and going undefeated and then getting pimp-slapped by an elite school in a bowl game is about as good as it's going to get for them. The resources simply aren't there.

The SMU job is intriguing. That program has been jacked up for a LONG time, but he'll have much better resources, most notably a fertile recruiting ground. He won't be stealing recruits from Texas, Oklahoma and the other noted schools anytime soon, but Jones has proven to be a coach that can affect some change in a program (especially on offense). I don't think it's too far fetched to believe that, in time, he could re-establish the Mustangs to be comparable to what Texas Tech has been recently (which is light years ahead of SMU's fortunes over the better part of the last two decades). Not an easy task, but certainly more potential than where he is currently.

I can't blame him for going with the opportunity. It's pretty much a no-lose situation. If he bombs, it's no different than what's happened since 1987. Even he has even a modicum of success, he's near a savior.

How awfully nice of Rich Rodriguez to allow a "little person" to play. :yay:

Kevin Smith has changed his mind and is going pro.

Wow. :(

Don't blame him. Either play another year for a mid-major where he'll bust his ass and won't get any sort of recognition. Or go pro where he'll atleast be a 2nd rounder get some greenbacks.

Not saying it's the wrong decision. I said he should've gone pro back when he announced he was staying. There's not much he can accomplish or prove at UCF. But declaring your staying, then changing your mind? Kinda cruel.

Even though I understand that there's an entire foot in height differential, it just seems odd. Devine looks like the token minority character in a realistic imagining of the Smurfs. He's tiny.

Well, Mallett can't run that well. At least not enough during one game to properly run the spread.

Mallett will be playing next season, but Rodriguez will need two years probably to get his recruits in and thats when Michigan will get REAL dangerous. Now that they'll actually know how to defend the spread and have players on offense who can effectively play in it.

Damn it. Kevin Smith was my dark horse Heisman guy for next year. Snoochie Boochies Kev. You weren't even supposed to be here today.
