Someone call the cops...Boise State has been robbed and left for dead.

BCS = teh SUCK

Florida and Oklahoma will play for the "national championship"...good matchup.

Meineke Car Care Bowl (can these names get any worse?) - North Carolina vs. West Virginia

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl (yes they can) - Boise State vs. TCU

Holiday Bowl - Oklahoma State vs. Oregon

Motor City Bowl now has Florida Atlantic (6-6) vs. a 9-3 Central Michigan team.

CMU lost to Ball State, Purdue, and Georgia.

These bowls are a joke... when did 6-6 get you into a bowl??? So sad....

Isn't that what Notre Dame went this year? That's why they changed the requirements to 6-6. Meeeeeeechigan's best hope for next year is to get six wins, then some bowl will take them because they'll bring so many fans. Same as ND.

ND has some weird arrangement with the NCAA because they aren't in a conference....as long as they win 6 games they are eligible for any bowl game.....what the NCAA should do is nullify that arrangement unless they join a conference....

If as ESPN claims, you have to win your conference be a title contender (unwritten rule), what happens to ND when/if they're a top team again?

ND plays a tough ass schedule every year and if they finish with the best record among D-I-A teams they deserve to play for a title... but that has nothing to do with 6-6 teams playing in bowls.

half of NDs schedule are **** games anyway...even if they go undefeated, their schedule will go against them....

USC, Michi, Michi St., usually two ACC/Big East teams in there... you try playing that schedule every year. That's big time competition most years.

ND is one thing... but Fla. Atl???? Your ****ting me...

I more or less agree. I think they're there because of Howard Shnellenberger (sp?) and their status as a program on the rise. But I can't imagine they'll bring that many people to Motown.

Purdue and Navy aren't great. That's all I can think of. But of course, being a Meeeeeechigan fan, everyone looks pretty good to me.

God I HATE the BCS System!!!

It's SO Flawed!!!

Texas #3 should played a #4, #5, #6 Team NO #10...

Then, Texas Beat Oklahoma, and Oklahoma is #1? :whatever:
BCS is great because every game in the regular season matters. Especially those played on neutral ground between top five teams early in the season. :yay: Oh wait, whats that you say? At that time #5 Texas beat #1 Oklahoma by ten points? You don't say. But Texas lost, right? Late in the season. That matters, right? Oh. By six points? On the road? Eh who cares about things like neutral field then, Oklahoma scores more points! But what's that you say? They keep their starters in the whole game? Well I'm sure Texas does too, right? No? They pull their starters in the fourth quarter? Really? Huh.

BCS is all about sportsmanship and in season play.

Sour grapes eh? Just so you know, I'm rooting for you guys to kill Ohio State (they shouldn't be in the BCS). And yes, I am very happy that we screwed you guys out of the national championship game. Karma is a *****.
And I'm glad that OU beat the snot out of you. And I was ecstatic that you almost lost to BAYLOR. Your win over us was luck, and you can bet our boys will be itching for payback when you come to Austin next year.

Luck? We kicked your tail for 90% of that game. Or did you forget that you were outgained by 200 yards of total offense? UT had no business being in that game. In fact, you were lucky to even be in it at all. Britton dropped a TD pass while we were in the red zone (which led to a field goal, meaning it cost us 4 points) and Crabtree fumbled in our own territory, handing you 3 points. You should have been beaten by 2 or 3 TD's in that game but Tech dicked around and eventually UT made a good comeback, even though the punt return was garbage (blatant block in the back).

Tech played like total crap in our last two games. Hopefully we'll get things back on track for the bowl game, but I won't be a bit surprised if we lay an egg. In fact, I'm expecting it. "Typical Tech" and all that jazz.

Still haven't answered the question of why Texas gets in a BCS game ahead of Texas Tech. After all, head to head matchups are the only thing that matter right?

Someone made the analogy that the most beautiful girl in the pageant is the one that walks by the judges last....OU scored a ****load of points in their last few games and I think that was a big part of what happened....I think OU/Florida will be an interesting game to watch, nonetheless

Because Texas lost by one point AT Texas Tech - that is not a bad loss, thats a "quality loss".

Texas Tech got DESTROYED by Oklahoma - not IS a bad loss.

If Texas Tech lost by one point to Oklahoma, I would argue Tech deserves it over Texas. Hell - if Texas Tech did simply showed up against Oklahoma, I would argue they deserve it over Texas.
