Thats hilarious.

On the list of teams that deserve to be playing for a National Championship, they rank behind Texas, Alabama and Utah.

The next Big 11 team that ends up having to play USC in the Rose Bowl, needs to just surrender on the spot. In fact, they might ought to go ahead and surrender anytime they get matched up with either USC, or an SEC team.

Laugh if you will... don't burst a vein. None of those teams really would beat USC, come on. Those teams have one key player and plays a college style offense. USC plays a Pro-Style Defense...as well as Offense.

Agree... especially against the SEC. Hell I would put Ole Miss up against them.

the Pac 10 is a bit weak though....does USC really have any competition in their conference?

Oregon just beat Oklahoma st. by 21

Oregon state beat Pitt

and cal has been good in the recent past

there are some very weak teams but the big ten is slightly weaker overall

Ole Miss intercepts Harrell, runs it 65 yards for a TD...gee whiz.

Yes they do, that is a serious misnomer in calling the Pac10 weak. Pac10 gets little recognition because of the number of writers who reside east of the Mississippi and look no futher west than Oklahoma, Texas, and the rest of the Big12.

The National Title has nothing to do with whom the best team in the country is - its who has performed best this year. If the latter was the case, Georgia and USC would played for it last year, not Ole Miss and LSU.

well you will see tonight that Utah has no business anywhere near a national championship game.

We shall see. Utah is not Hawaii.

You did not just say Utah deserved a shot at the title :lmao:

An undefeated Mountain West team deserves a shot at a National Title over a one loss Pac 10 team. The Mountain West was the better, stronger conference this year.

USC Baby!

Should be playing for the National Title

Sportscenter was doing an all nighter last night about how to tweak the system... like adding a plus one after the Bowls... I like how they conveniently leave out the fact that Texas would be left out even if they win their Bowl game... since the winner of FLA/OU would play USC for the title in that format... I just wish they can hear me through the television... "GUYS... you are not fixing anything... TEXAS WOULD BE LEFT OUT"... Curt Fowler brings up the Texas scenario and you still got Holtz saying that a plus one would fix all the remaining problems... what a joke...

And since I have little to do this time of year... I went through every scenario possible that can balance both tradition and fairness in deciding a national champion. The fact is... there is no possible system that can make everyone happy... even an 8 team playoff involves adding too many games and scrapping too many bowls... there is no system that can work perfectly. A four team playoff is not enough teams... an eight team playoff is too many teams (from the conference presidents perspective). I think they'd be better off sticking to what we have right now.

Lets try Ohio state not ole miss who played LSU last year.

and Utah is not Hawaii but they are not anyone who can compete with BAMA. The mountain west is not a better conference than the big ten much less the pac -10. Utah might get shut out tonight.

Interesting how that's supposed to be the joyous wonderful way of the system, but they can alter the "rules" at will.

Btw, it was Ohio State and LSU.

Looks like Texas Tech is getting a taste of an SEC team.....

which is by far the best conference in college Football.

i did think SC would show up more against Iowa though.

Hey the SEC has to give up a few, just to make sure people think other conferences can win against them.....:cwink:

I'm thinking that Ole Miss is officially back.

You're not joking....and they have a fairly young team, don't they?

I tell ya what though, I have to give a salute to Texas Tech, they have had a hell of a year....

AND,

They have come back a couple of times this season from further back than this...

And Houston Nutt is heck of a coach.

Yeah, he is quite the motivator.......IMO, Nutt or Leach could have been coach of the year for the NCAA, easily.

It still cracks me up that Leach and Donald Trump are good friends......I love it.
