Cardinals over Saints 35-31
Jets over Chargers 24-17
Colts over Ravens 31-14
Cowboys over Vikings 28-21

My Predictions:

Colts over Ravens
Jets over Chargers
Cowboys over Vikings
Saints over Cards

For me, the AFC is easy to pick, as I'm taking the Power Ravens over the Rusty Colts and the Super Chargers over the Not Ready Jets.

The NFC is harder for me to pick, as I think the Saints are a better version of the Cardinals, but the lack of momentum might bite the Saints, especially if 99 Warner shows up again. The Cardinals, though, won't stand a chance if the MNF Saints show up and rip that stomped defense to shreds. I think the last few weeks of the regular season woke the Saints up, and will be playing with a chip on their shoulder with almost everyone doubting them. I say the Saints win over the Cardinals, but not by much.

The Vikings have had time to get healthy and rested, especially Favre and Harvin, and looked great against the Giants, but if AP doesn't show up against that Dallas defense, 08 Favre will show up and cost Minnesota the game. On the other hand, Dallas can control the clock with that power running game, but I'm wary of the pressure on Romo and Phillips now that they're in uncharted territory again a very stout Vikings defense. I say Favre gets the Vikings to the NFC Championship.

I am calling it damnit! ARIZONA CARDINALS WILL DEFEAT THE N. O. SAINTS THIS SATURDAY!

Lets face it, these are not your father's Cardinals. They would have folded last week. These Cardinals understand how to overcome adversity and bring intensity to the playoffs like NO (and I mean NO) other team. They have the heart of a champion.

I honestly can say that the road to the Super Bowl this year is easier than last years.

SO Cards win. Thats my call and I am sticking to it. Cardinals over the Saints.

And those chuckleheads on TV are REALLY looking stupid! Any team that makes the playoffs deserves respect. The FACT that the CARDS made it back to the playoffs this year and the champs did not ALONE deserves respect.

Colts over Ravens
Chargers over Jets
Vikings over Cowboys
CARDINALS over Saints

I wonder what Dreadstar will do when the Saints beat the Cards by 37 points.

Yeah you may hate me now. :hehe:

Baltimore @ Indianapolis
Dallas @ Minnesota

Indianapolis COLTS and the Favre's...**** a Cowgirl..heh.

After that arena league exibition in Arz. last week, who knows which Defense decides to participate. I'll flip a coin tomorrow.

1 game does not determine how well a defense plays. I strongly believe the only reason the packer game was close was the Cards were not ready for the onside kick. Without that the game would have stayed a blowout .

In the last 4 years, the team coming off a bye has a record of 7-9. Teams with byes are winning at less than a 50% clip. Also last year, only 1 out of 4 teams with a bye week, won in the 2nd round:

#1 seed Tennessee lost to # 6 Baltimore

#1 seed NY Giants lost to # 6 seed Philadelphia

#2 seed Carolina lost to #4 seed Arizona

The only team with a bye that won was #2 Pittsburgh. In other words, it's more than likely that one or two of the favorites will lose this weekend. Which of these 4 is likely to lose: New orleans, Minnesota, Indy or San Diego. Based on history, I expect one or two of these teams to lose this weekend.

It seems like not having a bye is more beneficial during the playoffs.

Go Cards!! (and no team has won a Super Bowl losing the last 3 reg. season games) But the Cards have to go to an incredibly loud and rowdy Superdome, face a cool and collected Drew Brees, a Sean Payton who has had over three weeks to game plan, and the nation's leading offense. This will be one hell of a test.

:awesome:

O.K. damn. Stop tryin to take Norm's handles please.
Go CARDS, I get it. :up Past dividends do not mean future earnings, howineverthehell it goes. I mean it was the highest scoring playoff game in history. You can't win against the AFC in a shootout. That is a fact.

I guess I'm a Jets fan now,, since my steelers have been knocked out.
Plus I like rex ryans defense.

to bad the lions waited to long on wanting to talk with ryan last year.

he really made the team better and they got sanchez for 1/2 the price of stafford.

Eagles fired special teams coach Ted Daisher and replaced him with Bobby April, formerly of the Bills.

April, the best special teams coach in the league, was pursued heavily once the Bills' entire staff was dismissed after the season. His special teams unit in Buffalo ranked No. 1 in the NFL three of the past six years. The Steelers, in dire need of a special teams upgrade, were also thought to be pursuing him heavily.

Great move

I understand cleaning house, Buffalo, but you might want to keep around the guy referenced who garners praise as the best position coach in his area.

I could be wrong but I think April voided his final year of his contract...not 100%

April pretty much wanted to move on because they didn't interview him and they didn't make him intirm coach, even though he was the assistant HC. April was great, but last year his special teams made a lot of mistakes. A lot of penalties messed it up and the special teams just weren't as good as the year before.

Pats fired DC Dean Pees.

1 down, 1 to go.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Manning and the Colts have never won a game when they had the bye week, right? Well, there's a first time for everything but I'm calling the Ravens. Harbaugh's a better coach than Caldwell, Manning is notorious for cracking under really tough defenses (like Baltimore's) especially in the play-offs and lets face it, they got close last time. Their defense won't make the same mistake twice and let Manning get another 4th quarter come back. If Baltimore gets a lead early, they will win.

Eh, I wouldn't be so sure. The other Colts teams we're pretty much dominating the opposition. This year, they have faced a lot more adversity and gotten a lot of gritty wins (yes, via 4th quarter comebacks).

Yeah, and Harbaugh's not THAT good of a coach. I have a hard time giving respect to any coach who allows - hell, encourages - his players to act like total asshats during a game.

I may not respect him much, but he's better than Caldwell from a strategic perspective.

..Matt, :dry:alright Ravens are a good team. This is one of the bettrr ones over the last several seasons, they do have upside.... But not for what your sayin stud, Your holding being the #1 seed against the Colts??..Harbaugh?...what would u have them do win 9 games, have Cauldwell get his ass whelped in public against Mangini, AND Cable like ya boys did? That's hott 4real. 18 don't get beat by defences (like Baltimore) Darren Sproles and the punter beat Manning. Harbaugh ain't coaching against just Cauldwell...this is the best football complete and total braintrust in the league, and second only to the Walsh tenure. Your hate is like blinding lite, like friggin Dazzler over here with yours against 18, if u hate his square ass, cool, but the rest of the team!?

I like Reed, and Ray, but really though **** a Baltimore Raven
