Woah woah woah woah! Where do you live? Who's the closest team?

I live in KY so I should root for the Titans or the Colts but their is something about the Vikings that I like so they are my favorite team. I'm just know trying to set my self as a fan of the sport. But were you live means nothing. I go see my Preds cause I live close to them but in this case I have picked a team that is more out of my way. But my Aunt lives here also and she is a Blackhawk fan so I see nothing wrong with me being for the Vikings.

Ok....so you support a nashville team....

Congratz, you are now a Titans fan, wear the badge with honour

You can't choose a team cause you just...like em. You have to make a choice, and stick with it. Just ask the Mets Fans!

anyone see Real Sports last night? they had a great piece on concussions and how the NFL has changed their stance about concussions having long term health effects

I saw some piece, maybe 20/20 on Mike Webster of the Steelers. It's been stated he never had a concussion while playing ball but after football he suffered from dementia, amnesia, and depression.

After he died at the age of 50, an autopsy showed he had chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

I'm assuming helmets have improved since the 80s but you wonder even without concussions are players still causing themselves damage.

If that's official, they might as well add another wild card to the other 3 NFC conferences.

Matt Leinart will be the reason Zona regresses next year.....unless of course he can be a good QB while at the same time banging Arizona State co-eds.

Warner retiring will set the Cardinals back at LEAST 3 to 4 years. The only way they can prevent it is if they can find a way to trade for a high profile QB this offseason, or get extremely lucky in the draft.

Was thinking about the possibility of a team moving to LA. Since so many teams are named for something in the area, what would they name the team once it got to LA? Here are a couple suggestions....

1. LA Gangbangers--Uniform has that goofy bandanna pattern on it.
2. LA Smog---------Uniform has no colors, just shades of gray.
3. LA Quakes-------The field is painted to look like it has an open fault running through it.

Any other ideas?

The LA Quakes does have a nice ring to it

Call them the Los Angeles Traffic

Not bad. A team known for being unable to move the ball, but somehow managing to eat up serious amounts of clock.
:lmao:

I read that Bills & Jags seemed to be the frontrunners to relocate to LA (although it's hard for me to believe that Bills would do it). I think LA Quakes have a nice ring to it (and it reminds me of that classic PC FPS by ID Software). I'd like them to keep the old name, but I don't really care one way or the other as long we get a NFL team.

I'll be sending out reminder tonight for everyone who's in the playoff pool. I will also send out reminders Saturday.

of course he can:hehe:

I have watched Tommy Maddox, Jake Delhomme and Kurt Warner succeed in this league, I watched this year as Vince Young changed his career in 10 games - I am not counting Leinart out.

"We all have our little faults, mine's in California."

I think Leinart can do it....they won't be in the playoffs next year, but I think Leinart will grow

Yeah, L.A. Quakes is pretty cool. If the Jags do go to L.A., I wouldn't mind them keeping the moniker (L.A. Jaguars sounds cool to me) but I hope to God they change the uniforms. Those teal unis with the jaguar spots are hideous, IMO.

Fictional works have produced some funny L.A. sports team names over the years. Not all of these are football ones, but you get the idea...

L.A. Riot (Blitz: The League II)
L.A. Stallions (The Last Boy Scout)
Los Angeles Mastadons (The Seventh Game)
Los Angeles Outlaws (Against All Odds)
Los Angeles Peacocks (Fresh Prince of Bel Air)

Here's a funny site with some other suggestions...
