2010-2011 NBA thread: There's No Crying in Basketball

How far do you guys see the Nuggets going?
I personally think they're more then capable of pulling off an uspet. If things stay the way they are and they end up playing the Thunder in the first round, I think they have a shot considering how good they are on defense. So while they obviously don't have a realistic shot at winning it all, I think they could make it to the second round if they play up to their potential.

So I have heard of two articles that are saying that Rose isn't worthy of the MVP. Then they exclaim that Howard should be the MVP. Really?!?!

Go ahead give it to him. If the NBA wants another Nowintzki situtation, then by all means give it to Howard. Him getting so many techs that from here on out he is going to miss a game everytime he mouths off isn't exactly MVP material in my book.

There are other players that I am totally cool with Rose losing out to. But if he loses out to Howard I am just going to laugh my arse off.

That's your one gripe against Howard winning the MVP over Rose?

My gripe is that his team isn't doing as good.

I mean, Bulls are like a game and half out from having home court for the entire playoffs. Orlando at this point is just lucky that Atlanta is stinking up the joint, and Philliy is too far out to catch up.

Personally, I think that series with the Thunder will be one of the better opening round series. That series can go either way; but, it really doesn't matter, because neither one will get pass the eventual #1 seed Lakers in the next round. :oldrazz:

Well the Nuggets beat the Lakers today and Bynum is hurt AGAIN

The Knicks have clinched a spot for the first time in 7 years. Please let them face Miami.

That'll be a likely sweep. I really don't think you fully understand how defense plays in the regular season compared to the postseason.

I'm not going to be goated into another debate/argument. I've already said in the past, if they happen to get matched up against each other then I'll discuss it. Until then, you can keep spewing your ******** by your lonesome.

Believe me, I'm not alone on this. Defense becomes that much more important in the playoffs, and that'll be the Knicks downfall, no matter who they draw, more so if it's the Bulls or Celtics. They're a first round exit.

You realize they're undefeated against the Bulls this year, right? Oh wait those games don't count because they don't support your argument.

/is done.

What you mean the different New York Knicks before the trade that destroyed their team? You mean those New York Knicks? This is going to be funny, no matter who they draw, it's going to be hilarious.

I agree...its nice to be in the playoffs after 6 years, but they are going to get destroyed

who do the spurs lose to, to lose the #1 seed?

By the looks of the way they've been playing, everybody they play until the end of the season.

they play one team besides the lakers that is above .500 and that's the hawks, the need to lose 2 for the lakers to attain the number 1 seed and the lakers have to beat 3 teams above .500.

Damn, I ask if the Nuggets are doing good and they take care of the Lakers in LA. Awesome.

And yet, they could still lose all of em because they clearly have stopped giving a s**t.

Then again, they did do well yesterday.

I would've love it if Lakers could defeat those Nuggets, but realistically Lakers will have one of those games and it just happened to occur when they play the Nuggets. Denver does have a good team though, and they will become a force in the future. However, if Nuggets meet Lakers in the playoff, I have faith that Lakers can take care of them in a 7-game series.
