The Steelers did rush for 99yds against the Jets back in week 15. The only team that rushed for over a 100yds against the Jets was the Bears. I don't think this game is gonna be all in Roethlisberger's hands.

If Bruce Arians' play calling last week was any indication, it will be. Especially if the Jets shut down the run early. Arians has proven time and time again that he is incapable of adapting a game plan during the game. If the run is shut down early, rather than tweak it, he will simply abandon it.

wow....Mort is talking about how Carson Palmer wants OUT of Cincy...I knew it....where the **** is Kaiser so I can laugh about how bad the Bengals are going to be next year

Hmmm...that is certainly news to me.

apparently him and his wife are about to have his first kid and he wants to go to a team that he actually WANTS to play for....wife is from the SF area

he's also rumored to be threatening "retirement" if the Bengals don't move him

He should talk to the Fins as anyone would be better then Chad Henne for another year. Hell Brett ****ing Favre would be better then Chad Henne :(

After the last season and a half, who would feel comfortable signing Palmer to starting QB money?

Honestly, Palmer is in no position to be *****ing. There is no reason that he shouldn't be winning in Cinci. They've provided him with a fantastic running game and premium receivers throughout his time there. He is as big of a part of the problem as Marvin Lewis and the massive egoes on that team.

That said, a fresh start would be good for both sides, I think. Palmer is a good fit for Arizona, IMO.

There's the rub. I think Palmer is going to have to go the post-Tampa, Brad Johnson approach. Take a bench seat somewhere and just hope that an injury or bad play gives him a chance to make a resurgence.

I think he would be a great fit in Arizona or SF, maybe even Seattle....reunited with Pete Carroll

We both know that this is gonna be a close game. I think it's going to come down to what QB doesn't make that big mistake late in the 4th quarter.

Hoping NYS got my pics! I'm taking the Jets and Packers!

Hoping for a Packers/Steelers Superbowl, when the smoke clears today.

Zona needs to get either Orton or Palmer and low ball Cinci or Denver for them. Arizona cannot waste a number one draft pick on a QB who could fail or on a big name QB. They need it to build up their defense.

I agree. But I think if Arians gives up on the run and puts it in Ben's hands, it is that much more likely that Ben makes a mistake. More opportunities to make one, anyhow.

Yeah, I could go a lifetime with out seeing that pregame dance from the Bears again.

I am pretty sure that was the same dance Smoochy did in Death To Smoochy.

Our buddy Jay Glazer, reporting from Soldier Field while trying not to get, you know, stepped on, says that the playing surface “is a mess.”
He says that four inches of snow fell overnight. After the snow was “squeegied” off the tarp and the tarp was then removed, the field (per Glazer) initially “looked beautiful.”
Glazer said the worst areas are outside the numbers and in the south end zone, where the field converts from grass to “painted mud.”
Glazer explains that Packers coach Mike McCarthy promptly called a friend in Seattle last weekend to get more info about the status of the field, where the Seahawks played last weekend. Receiver Greg Jennings. who’ll wear 5/8″ cleats, told Glazer that “this is terrible out here.”

**** off Bears. Seriously.

Wow. That was an amazing drive. Green Bay is moving the ball with no resistance. Absolutely flawless from play calling to performance, right through Rodgers' run for the TD. On that first drive, Chicago was outplayed and outcoached. I think Chicago is going to be in deep trouble if they can't adjust. I think this could be a blow out.

O

Agree on both accounts.

Just when it seemed like something could happen, Cutler said, "I won't let someone play worse than me!"

I hope the Pack keeps this up in the second half. I don't want the Lombardi Trophy even entering Jay Cutler's field of vision.
