Any series with Miami will be an embarrassment, though.

The Heat are the one team who have embarrassed the Sixers. Twice.

^ I agree we not set up to beat Miami yet. We do need a superstar player though, but one who can still keep the team ball atmosphere.

And that's the one thing that pisses me off about the NBA and the media surrounding it; we shouldn't be constantly hearing about the Knicks and Lakers; we should be hearing about OKC, or Indiana or the Sixers.

You didn't see the NFL constantly talking about the Giants and Jets while small market teams like the Ravens and New Orleans had the better records.

If somehow the Sixers pulled off a three peat though, you strike me as the type of person who'd stop liking them just because they'd start getting that attention. There would be a bunch of bandwagon fans all of a sudden, and they'd be on TV all the time. Then they would become the "stars" you seem to despise, but would it be acceptable then?

I'm thinking the Sixers need someone similar to Dirk Nowitzki or Kevin Love; an offensive power forward, who can still operate well in team-oriented offense.

The only other position I could see them needi would maybe be a big time point guard. But Holiday has a lot of upside, so I don't think that would be the best option either.

Dude. You need to stop taking guesses at my opinion. This is like the fourth time you've done it, and you've been wrong every time.

I don't despise stars. I despise *******s. I don't despise winning teams. I depise lazy, rich front offices that buy championships rather than actually work for them.

I know it upsets you greatly that your Lakers fit into both those categories, but you need to let it go. I like Kevin Durant, Dirk Nowitzski, Derrick Rose, Steve Nash, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, etc., etc. I have no problem with the Bulls or the Thunder or the Spurs. It's not about brainless hatred; it's about analyzing, and respecting the teams.

If the Sixers won 11 championships in a row through smart play, good coaching, and a skilled front office, I wouldn't care how many morons jumped on the bandwagon, I'd still be a fan.

Heh, that was a considerably nicer response than I'd have given him...

I will say this about bandwagoners though...

I'm a Phillies fan, always have been. I dropped the Eagles a few years ago due to not liking their leadership in the least.

But when I'm in a retail store, and I hear a grandmother tell a 5yo to root for the Phillies and not the Eagles because the Phillies win, I wanna punch her in the face. :o

I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks he's being a Richard Grayson.

What a game. Knicks just kept hanging around.

Firstly I've said time and again I'm a Kobe fan, I was before he entered the NBA and I'll be one after he leaves.

If you remember correctly your also the "dude" who started with me awhile ago about the Melo/Amare stuff out of nowhere trying to get smart and being completely wrong, so yeah, I developed some disdain for you pretty quick.

Point being however, the Sixers need another piece, we both already discussed that (and you seemed so much nicer when I agreed with you) but let's not act like they're some holy grail example of team ball either, the defending champs did it pretty well themselves along with a bunch of other teams.

And considerably smarter, I've already seen you barely know what your talking about.

I really don't get where you're trying to go with this conversation.

Outside of "you hurt my feelings so I'm going to whine like a woman". :o

What a game. Knicks just kept hanging around.

Lin was so gassed out and had no legs, but what courage and clutchness by taking that last shot and drawing the foul...He had a tough second half, but he created so many shots for others and still had a 20 point game

Rubio was not happy and he played really good too

Yeah, Lin is a special player because he really does give 100% effort and in a team with several multi-millionaire underachievers, he really stood out. I had wanted Lakers to win vs Knicks but I'm also glad that he had a good game. I hope he'll have a long, great career ahead of him in NBA.

I can't believe I got an infraction for quoting Supernatural. Cconn, sorry if my post earlier on offended you dude, because that's not what I was trying to do. Just had get that line out.

BUT.......76ers are going to fall in the standings and they are starting to slip a little now. As the season goes on and the games get closer and tighter, they are just missing something. I believe they need a little Linsanity! :o

Do you guys think the Knicks will get better when Melo and Amare get back, or get worse? I ask because right now Lin can control the offense using his talents and instincts, but when these two superstars come back he'd be forced to feed them the ball, since both demand tons of touches. Also, he'll have to please both of them so he can't give one player more balls than the other. Lin is still a new starter and I'm not sure how many clout he has in the team.

That's what being a Point Guard's all about. Maybe he's earned their respect and they will follow his lead. Maybe they wont and will pout cuz they ain't get as many touches. Maybe he'll b***h slap em and tell em to "man the hell up! We tryin' to win some rings up in here!" Maybe not. :o

I didn't offend me at all. I didn't report it.

The fact that like 4 people popped up to say I'm right and you're wrong more than bandaged my wounds. :o

Oh, and...

The Sixers are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

While you praise the Celtics for being 7-3 in their last 10 games.

So, according to you, the Sixers are slipping, but the Celtics are surging. Your logic is incredible. :o
