It's Lin's league and we're all just observers.

In all serioysness, the hype is getting a little crazy. Great story, but we'll see how long it lasts.

I agree that Lin is still a newcomer, and it is too early to call him legit just from the sample of 5 games that he has played as a starter. And the return of Melo and Amare may have a positive or negative impact to his game, depending on how well these three can work together. I just think Lin is a great success story, and I for one hope he will be in the league for the long haul.

Amare should be a positive influence... And Melo, considering he was supposedly one of the people pushing D'Antoni to give him a shot, COULD be one too. They should look to run predominantly pick-n-roll based offense using 'Melo 1. as a second option, 2. when he has mismatches and 3. feeding him at times to just keep him involved throughout.

While Lin has had a lot of time and space to play with in these games, it's still pretty frightening seeing what he's done in the pick'n'roll game with Tyson Chandler when they still have Amare to come back...

Personally, I think if Knicks were smart, they'd trade Melo to Magic for Howard. Both Amare & Chandler are better with the pick-and-roll under Lin, but Melo strives on iso plays so having Lin may actually negatively affect both players' games. Melo would demand to keep the ball, instead of letting Lin distribute as a PG can, but if they have Howard (and move Chandler & Amare to the PF & SF, respectively), I think it can actually help the team get better.

Amare as a SF? Well, he don't rebound or play defense anyway so, why not? Sure, he wont be able to keep up with faster SF's, but, then it doesn't matter cuz he don't play defense anyway.

Its just amazing, to me, that some guy who leads the Knicks over 4 mediocre teams can have the fans questioning two perennial All-stars and if they can "fit" with HIM?

If his name were Jeremy Johnson instead of Lin nobody would even care, whether it was New York or not, at least not to this extent. Let's see him lead them past a good team first that plays great defense before we elevate him to some sort of status he hasn't really earned yet.

You're a regular Matt Dillon.

Yeah, I'm always baffled how Amare can be a PF, since he doesn't do anything except shooting the basket, unlike Tim Duncan who played the position the right way. He might as well be a SF imo.

In other news, Jason Whitlock tweeted an unfunny and racially insensitive remark regarding Lin. Consider this mission accomplished for his goal to garner more attention toward his Twitter account, however.

LOL, I know man....totally agree Doc Samson

Its crazy. The Jazz, Wizards, Nets & Lakers. I mean seriously. They have the Heat this month though, we'll find out a little more then...

Well, here are some of the reasons why I cut Lin alot of slack:

1) Lin has been winning without the two superstars on their team, each of whom commands 18 mil per season (Lin's salary: 700K).
2) Both Melo & Amare together have not made their team competitive in their division, and they were 8-15 when Lin took over. If you dismiss Knicks' winning streak due to the teams they faced during that streak, how would you characterize Melo & Amare for their absymal record sans Lin?

However, by no means I'm ready to anoint Lin as the next Nash, Williams, Paul, or Westbrook, but I just think that he has largely been overlooked due to his ethnicity, and it's great to see that he's proving the critics wrong with his skills and tenacity.

Plus, Amare don't rebound nor does he play defense. :o

Mello Too for that matter. These are facts.

I agree he definitely was overlooked because of ethnicity but by the same token he's being overhyped by ethnicity. This isn't a new phenomenon, just a few months ago people were ready to anoint Jimmer & Rubio. Once upon a time Adam Morrison, Redick, Jason Williams, so on and so forth. Im just saying let the guy beat a team that's actually good first.

Well, I'm not going to argue about that, and I also think 5 games is a small sample size to determine whether Lin is a future All-Star or a flash in the pan. And he still hasn't played with neither Melo nor Amare yet, not to mention his coach D'antoni imo just isn't a great head coach and should've been fired long time ago. Well, we'll just have to wait and see what happens next.

Hey that's all I'm saying, I'm going to wait to see what happens.

Sounds like a back specialist confirmed the Bulls doctors' reports on Rose's back. It is just lower back spasms and no structural damage. It is just a muscle issue and he remains day-to-day.

I'd love for him to be 100% healthy, but that was still great news.

Isn't there an Asian in his sport he can focus on?

Oh wait, yeah, he keeps making excuses and finding reasons not to have him mop the ring with his egotistical ass.

76ers win again but wish they win some games against good teams aswell not just mainly beat bum squads.

Well, they'll have their chance against the Magic and Mavericks this week.

Oh, and here's one thing no one is mentioning about Lin...

He turns the ball over. A lot. In his 5 starts, he's turned the ball over 6 times twice, and 8 times once. That's pretty unacceptable for an NBA point guard, and will catch up to him if he doesn't correct it.

^ CConn we beat Orlando already, want to see them beat the world champs friday night though. I might go to that game too and its an ESPN game. Major chance for the Sixers to show the entire country we mean buisness by beating the world champions.

The Mavs are my second favorite team.

Although I can't stand that their median age is between dinosaurs and dirt, anymore. :o

I'd rather be that than the Not World Champion Heat. :o
