I just saw NBA standings..and the Bobcats have only won 3 games. The Wizards have 7 wins, the Hornets 5.
How can any team be that bad?

I think any player who did what Lin did for a big market team like the Knicks would get the same kind of attention. Especially when the team was blowing the season.
I do think being Asian helps though. Seeing all the Asian fans in Toronto getting excited for Lin should speak to that.
I'd agree with this.
And comparing what Lin has done in five games, to what Flip Murray did which was basically just put up points in bunches, is kind of insulting.
The guy came in to a disjointed Knicks team and straightened them out... and got them playing a composed offence. What Lin has done has been greater than what's shown up next to his name in the box score.
And those statements right there are why this whole situation is becoming maddening. How can you say he "straightened" out the Knicks? They beat the Nets, Wolves, Raptors, Jazz, Wizards, Lakers & have the Kings tonight? Are you kidding me?! These are all mediocre to terrible teams! If he does his thing against the Heat or the Bulls, OKC or one of the upper echelon teams, I'll be the first one in here waving the flag, I promise.
But let's be real here, there's a host of horrible teams in the NBA, plenty of which that could probably stand to be contracted TBH with you. How in the world can you say the offense is "composed" when the guy is averaging around 8 turnovers against this level of competition? Caulderon was doing whatever he wanted to until they put Shumbert on him, how in the hell is this going to fly against the few good teams he has yet to play?
Furthermore, the Flip Murray comparison is definitely warranted, he came out of nowhere when Ray Allen got injured and scored 20 or more in his first 10 games, and they were winning alot of them as well. The reason it didn't register was because it was a small market number one, and number two there wasn't some type of racial dynamic to capitalize off of and make money, which the Knicks are doing as we speak. Let's not act like this is a new occurrence, it happens all the time in sports, why is it degrading Lin to speak about it now, when it's painfully obvious? When's the last time you saw so many Asian people at a Raptors game of all places? Not saying its wrong or right, but let's acknowledge that it's the main reason for this level of attention. It certainly can't be from beating bottom feeders...
I don't get why the Asian thing is important.
Yao Ming already taught us that Asians can play basketball.![]()

For people still doubting Lin because of the teams they are playing, just stop. That's a horrible argument.
BTW - Where did the new Memphis uniforms come from? They look ridiculous.
Those are throwbacks to......I don't know, when the Generals (you know, that team that the Globe Trotters beat the s**t out of all time time?) used to operate out of Memphis. Yeah. That'll work.
I know, look at the Raptors game, he had so many turn overs but came through when it mattered. It's not how you start, it's how you finish.
Works for me ... Your explanation, not those uniforms. The uniforms are awful.
