Mike Brown should've went for the trifecta tonight and sat Gasol in the 4th for that soft defense. But he wasn't alone. For a game the Lakers easily dominated in the 1st half, when it fell apart, it went south completely.

Apparently, the NY Post is reporting that half the Orlando Magic team was partying until 3am the night before their blowout loss to the Knicks.

Well I did call it! 76ers are falling. They are a good team without a superstar. They'll probably fall to the 7 or 8 seed. It was good while it lasted.

I'd honestly rather play Miami than Chicago. Despite what the media says, Miami is very beatable as the coach is very incompetent and if you have them play half court, they have a very hard time. Chicago seems to be a complete team and they are playing without Rose and still winning. Miami could easily lose in the 2nd round but the media have you to think Miami has the best record in the league when they are not even the best in the conference. And it seems like every analyst has them beating Chicago in 5 despite the Bulls growth. Just boggles me.

Because as shown, the Heat have a tendency to turn it on when it matters. I wouldn't be surprised if they just....blaze through the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if they get knocked out early.

Yeah its hard to say. On one hand I do believe they have a genuine problem handling teams that can match their fastbreak and also have size inside.

However I also witnessed the '01 Lakers sleepwalk through a regular season only to obliterate everybody in the playoffs. Of course that team was already the defending champs and IMO better constructed and more complimentary.

But point being its hard to put too much stock in the regular season, especially one like this. I don't think anybody had money on the Mavericks even making the Finals last year, let alone winning it.

I think you're going to see the Heat team that the hype likes to think they are in the playoffs. The Bulls will be tough but they can be beat. When the Heat are on, they're damn near unstoppable.

Yeah I agree Darth but again, the coach is Spo. If this was Riley, I can see the Heat setting records with blowout wins but Spo is not good at adjustments. The Heat are a good team in spite of him and if they meet the Bulls, Tho will run circles around him much like Carlisle did in the Finals. There 3 teams I can see giving problems in the East: Orlando, the Bulls, and the Knicks and they all have size.

As a 76ers fan I can say I'am proud they atleast atleast won 1 game playing the Lakers. Everybody esle got swept 3-0 or 4-0.

Yeah til this day I consider it Iverson's greatest performance, he was relentless.

Whew! In the midst of Kobe's worse game of the season (and maybe his career, going scoreless through three quarters) the man STILL hit it in the clutch! I just said this a page or two ago, but the man has no fear at all. No conscious!

However this was a horrible game, as a unit and especially Kobe. I don't know if they were still sleep for this early start time or what, but they better get it together. And Brown needs to sit Kobe alot more, NOW, before the playoffs. His legs were gone today.

So Lin is now out for the rest of the year with a torn meniscus.

LIN OUT 6 WEEKS
NBA New York Knicks ‏ @nyknicks
#Knicks Injury Update: Jeremy Lin will be out approx 6 weeks after an MRI revealed small chronic meniscus tear. Lin will speak w media soon

Marc Stein ‏ @ESPNSteinLine
RT @HowardBeckNYT: "It is a big blow," Knicks coach Mike Woodson says. ... Lin heading for arthroscopic knee surgery

Mother ****

Dantoni ran secretariat to the ****ing ground

It's like Lin was one big....'psyche!!'.

Or an early April Fools.

^ Lol Linsanity will most likely be back next season. He is ''the'' point guard of the knicks.

In all honesty they probably have a better hope against a Miami without him than with him... But generally it's a big damn blow.

Agreed! Lin is the pg of the future of this team but he is turnover prone and goes right 90% of the time so yeah I agree. I blame Dantoni. Dude played him 45 minutes a game along with Stat who he knows has a bad knee but he doesn't care. I'm so glad he's gone! :argh:
