But he costs money - money that the Knicks don't have. They're better off taking the cash they do have and build a bench.

Exactly. When teams like Lakers who had to shed some of its salaries to try to get under the cap for the new CBA, it would make no sense if Knicks would try to increase theirs by taking on Nash's payroll. That's what they get from paying Melo, Amare, and Chandler so much money.
I didn't make any kind of comment regarding money. I don't know what he'd be asking for at this stage of his career. It's just the choice of words in "want to start" that I took issue with.

That said, if they could get him cheap because he wants a run at a ring... You sign him.

And leave me cheering on Gortat and... *sigh*

We have nothing! Please don't take our Steve Nash! He's all we have! *weeps uncontrollably*

Would it? You don't know whether or not he'd be willing to take a pay cut for the chance at a title......his last chance.

Didn't he mention considering Miami in the offseason as one of his options? Surely, he'd be taking a severe pay cut down there, I'm not even sure where they found the money to pay the rest of the guys on that team as it is.

"Want to" suggests that he may not be worlds better than Lin...

He is.

76ers play tonight? Up 3-1 in series. Win by 15 over Chicago. Rout them. And I don't even like Philly...but I like underdogs.

Also no one has NBA TV...

Nick Young must have crept into Craig Sager's closet and stole a pair of his shoes. Don't think he took the dashiki from Sager though. Maybe he got that from Curtis Mayfield or something.

Is 1980s Miami coke dealer the new style now? :oldrazz:

My brother and I make fun of Javale McGee all the time, but I'm happy for him to see him have such a great night. He has so much potential.

Javale McGee talking to Craig Sager after a playoff game...we're living in some alternate reality.

No Javale, he always dresses like that...

Kobe, kobe, kobe! Dude took 32 shots and Bynum took 8. I know people will say if it wasn't Kobe, they would not have made that late game run, but if you get Bynum involved, no way does he let McGee out play him. Kobe has to get those bigs involved. This is the story of Kobe's career.

The next time Andrew Bynum opens his big, fat mouth saying that the close-out game is easy, he'd better score a triple-double otherwise he should shut up. :cmad:

Well someone needs to give him the ball for that to happen.

Exactly! Kobe took 4x as many shots as the guy and they didn't look for him at all in the post. How can he back up what he said if they aren't giving the ball to him. You'd think Kobe would realize that him winning another championship depends on how his bigs play. Unless Kobe gets them involved, no way they beat OKC, and its quite possible Denver could come back and win this series.

After last night, I'm really hoping for a game 7 in Chicago.

Oh! Just saw a stat on ESPN: Kobe took more shots than the other Laker starters COMBINED! Kobe is killing this team!

you must not have watched kobe shoot those 3s in a row at the end of the game just to get the team back into the game! not surprised though most lakers fans are clueless

I saw that and I also saw him miss his next 3 shots and let's not talk about his shooting in the first half.

Ps- I'm not a Lakers fan, just calling it like I see it, just like every single analyst is saying today but Kobe fanatics will blame his teammates for Kobe shooting with 3 guys on him. :whatever:

uhh when was there 3 guys on him? who else would you want to shoot the last shot? he made what 3 in row and you want him to pass on the last shot? and im pretty sure his stats in the first half he was shooting over 50 percent! look at the other lakers players only 1 player shot over 50 percent

My gawd dude. That was just an example. And the one advantage the Lakers have over Denver is their size. Why go from that when you are winning with it? But again, never mind. Not worth getting an infraction over. :o
