I like how Kobe is like "Yeah we could beat them in one game, I never said we could beat them in a best of 7."

Felton and Thomas to the Knicks and Jeffries and Gazuric to the Trailblazers.

Lin out?

C.J Watson to the Nets

Looks like Lin will be a Rocket

Looks that way. Now all of a sudden Dolan refuses to open his wallet. He was fine with shelling out millions to Shandon Anderson, Howard Eisley, Eddy Curry and Quentin Richardson.

Dolan can't win for losing. If he matches it, people will complain how he over spends for mediocre talent for a 10 game stretch for a guy who can't stay healthy, basically a flash in the pan. But he lets Lin walk(which I think is wise)he doesn't know what he's doing, blah, blah, blah. The Knicks had a great offseason and by letting Lin walk, they open up the chance for Paul to go to the Knicks. It's a slim chance but Paul was the one who made the infamous toast, he refused to sign an extension, even Melo tweeted "the toast is still alive" and then they trade for Felton instead of matching Lin. They probably know something we don't know yet. But if he matches or doesn't, I say good move Dolan. Lin is going to be a bust. Dudes always play well in contract years and plus dude was healthy in the playoffs but didn't play because he was only 85%?!?! I think he still had nightmares of Chalmers ripping his right hand, 99% of the time he drove. :o End rant. - Docker2.0

According to Frank Isola of the New York Daily News lots of NBA execs still believe Chris Paul is trying to find a way to the Knicks and him turning down the offer from the Clippers wasn't solely because he wants more money.

Of course the new York media going to say that. Again they have no cap space and stat contract makes it impossible to trade

You mean he doesn't wanna stay with the clippers long term? Shocking.

He's already said he wants longevity with the clippers. meaning he would rather sign a 5 year deal instead of 3

I wonder how Griffin's injury might factor in Paul's decision. Will Griffin become one of those guys who becomes annually injured?

He's explosive enough for it to be a problem. Similar to D-Rose, his whole game is predicated on his athleticism, so he can try to re-tool and work on his technique to have some other stuff to go to, or risk another injury from overexertion. This is his second one already.

I agree. He needs to add more skill to his game. He's like a bull in a china shop and he's breaking down because of it.

Let's hope Blake Griffin can do it. Grant Hill did it, and it kept him around in the league as a rather capable player for this long following all of the ankle issues.

Ugh, one of my most embarrassing moments as a Magic fan was the Orlando crowd booing Grant Hill when the Phoenix Suns visited Orlando for a game.

True, but Grant Hill, at one point, was the best player in the league. Who knows how his career would've really turned out, and his game was never just pure athleticism. Griffin's is, and that's what worries me.

Agree with you about the Magic's behavior too.

LOL! Dwight also said he loves Orlando, Melo said he loved Denver and Lebron loved Cleveland. PS- Paul didn't rule out New York and the commercial is played daily here on ESPN radio. :o

Keep thinking Cp3 will sign the mid level exception haha!

I like how you, in light of the Joe Johnson trade just refuse to believe the possibility that the Knicks trade Amare and free up more space.

Joe Johnson can still play at an all star level and is healthy something stat is not anymore. None of the teams with current cap space ain't trading for stat like the kings, cavs, hornets, bobcats, etc all those teams are rebuilding not retooling. You can only trade stat for another oversaturated contract like a boozer. like I said Cp3 ain't signing mid level exception lol

Suns pick up Scola, and amnesty Childress. If they are able to get Mayo as well, then thats a solid offseason imo

Shhhhhhhhh!

:pal: The NBA doesn't have a hard cap so teams can exceed it if they like but most don't want to because it's not a smart business move. But if Paul decides to come to the Knicks, you don't think they wouldn't go over it to sign him? Dolan will do it in a heartbeat. And again, you are not following the sports world right now because it's being reported everywhere that Melo is so confident that Paul is going to the Knicks that it's part of the reason why they are not going hardcore over Lin. And I believe after this season, Amare could restructure his contract and Melo could do the same after next so it could still work, maybe a little over the cap but I'd rather do that than go over the cap and pay Lin who I have no confidence in whatsoever. It's funny how people always bring up that Lakers game when he scored 38 but they played the Celtics in a double OT game the previous night. I want to see Lin go to Houston and See Kobe 3-4 times a year and see him do it again. I'd like to see him do it against Westbrook, Paul, Dragic, heck I'd like to see him do it against Felton because I just don't see what he did last year happening again.
