2011/2012 NBA Thread: Where Weather Happens

It's funny to see Boston's Big Three vs Heat's Big Two (well, three including Bosh on IR). I think it's no secret that Celtics' acquisition of Allen and KG to form their Trio probably influenced Lebron, Wade, and Bosh's plan to form their own version of the trinity in Miami, and from the look of it, even missing one of the Big Three will not deter Heat from winning this series.

I didn't expect Boston to win this after playing a game seven 2 nights ago then hopping on a plane that night. Game 2 is going to be much closer.

I'm pretty sure that Jim Gray is still involved with ABC/ESPN, he at least was during that time.
I don't think he is, but that don't mean nothing cause the point was the decision was Lebron's thing his production company got the time on ESPN and his production companuy sold the time for ad revenue, and he says he gave it all to charity, but some don't believe that

I don't know, Miami really didn't play all that well, they barely got out and ran and in the 2nd and part of the 3rd, went extremely cold.

The problem, like I said it would be, is that Boston just can't score consistently against anybody, much less the Heat. On top of that, their defense isn't anywhere close to what it used to be. Add on the obviously hobbled Pierce & Allen (who was painful to watch miss FT's for a 90+% dude) this is a done deal, I think, in 5. And let's be even more honest, had the Bulls been at full strength, The C's would already be home.

He's gutting it out, and I respect the hell out him for that, but his ankle needs surgery. And for someone so clinical in his technique, I'm sure it's something he can't just overcome. He's not the type to be out there making adjustments to his shot.

Doc Rivers is considering giving Ray the night off Wednesday for Game 2.

Spurs putting on a clinic. All OKC can do is watch.

You guys will listen to me one of these days, both of these series should be over in 5

I can see this happening. If both Heat and Spurs win their game 2, their series will be over within 5 games.

When did Derek Fisher get a tattoo?

apparently the mascot thinks it's over

Spurs are just too good, damn...No way any of the East teams beat them if they get out of the West

Not true, Miami and Boston pose different types of threats for San Antonio. However, The Heat have best shot since their athleticism and speed won't be matched by The Spurs. The Thunder should have beaten The Spurs on Sunday just based on their speed and pace but they ultimately hurt themselves in the fourth quarter.

OKC's big 3 scored 88 and they lost how many points will Lebron and Wade put up in a hypothetical matchup.

OKC and Miami may have a big 3 but the Spurs have a big 10. They're getting contributions from everybody on the roster. That game was silly, it was like an instructional video on how to play dominating basketball...
