I feel bad for whatever fan base gets stuck watching that sad sack of **** Dwight Howard sit on the bench with a towel over his head. I used to like the kid, now I wish he would just go to the Toronto Raptors and disappear.

Two best big men in the league too. Such a shame.

It really is. I thought that Magic team was going to be huge after they made the finals, shows what happens when you give your all star player all the power within the organization.

Congrats to the Thunder and their fans, they have a great team, I honestly have no idea who's going to win in their series against the Spurs, I think it could go 7 but it will be a great series.

And as far as where the Lakers go from here......no idea. I'm of the mind that Kobe has maybe 2 years of quality left, and it seems that other than Artest (which is saying something) and Gasol (sometimes) no one really seems to have that cutthroat drive to show up and win.

In their first threepeat they had Shaq, Fisher, Kobe, Grant, Green, Fox, HORRY, Harper, straight up warriors who only wanted to win.

If Orlando's in for it (which I doubt) I'd do my best to build a package around Bynum for Howard, send Gasol for two three quality pieces (Minnesota? Houston?) and re-load for next year.

That was Van Gundy's fault though. They made it with Rafer Alston, in which the Lakers had no answer for, then he decides to put Nelson in who hasn't played in months, just to sooth the guy's ego. The Lakers didn't lose a game since. Dumb coaching move.

Certainly, I think Gasol is gone. Bynum going nowhere, and the Lakers is not going to go after Howard. If possible, they would wait for his contract to expire after next season, if Orlando does not trade him first(which is what I think they will do mid-season).

Lakers needs to replace Pau, if they let him go...with who I don't know at this time, and also needs some supporting bench players. The Lakers can find a replacement for Pau either from Portland, Utah, Toronto(Amir), or Memphis(Arthur). Peace will be back, I think for another season. Lakers have a 3-4 year window with Kobe...so look for the Lakers to spend big.

If Boston wish to implode the team, I can see the Lakers going for Garnett to either come off the bench, with spotted starts or start at the 2 as a replacement for Pau. Primarily, I would like to see Rondo(only one I really want from Boston, but may cost) as the starting point, and Sessions come off the bench. However, there are other lesser name starting point that may be cheaper and yet still effective. Or they can just try to groom Session.

I can see Barnes, Murphy, Blake, and Morris gone as well.

they can still remain the golden state warriors, they are just moving to a better arena

Yes that was a bad move. However it is not an excuse for Dwight Howard to act like a 10 year old girl the past 2 seasons.

No, hes staying im afraid, Gasol's gonna go.

Laskers need a scorer who is fearless, which is what they greatly lacked in this series.

Honestly I wouldn't be against a Pau for Amare swap. I think it could actually benefit both teams.

In theory it makes sense but I don't trust having Amare in Mike Brown's "offensive" system, I think he'd do worse than Pau actually.

The triangle allowed the Lakers to have their top three post players spend a lot of time in the post. This season we haven't been able to figure out spacing well (not having good shooters might help with that) but Pau has been spending a lot of time at the high post, Bynum a majority on the block and Kobe on the elbow.

Put Amare at the high post and it'd work theoretically if we had a point guard who was able to run pick and roll with him effectively. If we picked up Nash for the minimum (pipe dream) it might work.

Although I want Kobe to retire as a Laker, I hope he will be open to restructuring his contract, because the fact is that he takes the bulk of the cap money and it makes it hard for the front office to sign new players to increase Lakers' depth, and compete against OKC and SA. They can make his money backloaded, so the team won't be hit as hard by the new CBA and it will give them more reflexibility to acquire players. If Kobe truly wants to win his sixth ring, he has to understand that the new CBA will make it virtually impossible for Lakers to do anything unless they can shed salaries to get underneath the cap. It's the new reality of NBA, and Lakers cannot operate the same way that has served them well in the past.

Very true. But they can't ask him to do that and not deliver on their end.

I think Mitch Kupchak and Jim Buss should sit down with Kobe, give him their budget outline and the players they want to go for, and then let him see what kind of possible outcomes that may result if he restructures his contract. Once Kobe sees the big picture, I think it would be alot easier to convince him to do it. I remember SA asked Duncan to do the same a few years ago, and he agreed, and now look at the kind of depth that the team has. Lakers can do the same, but first they must drastically reduce their payroll. They can't even offer a mid-level exception to get players like Nash now thanks to the cap, and it will only get worse once the new CBA kicks into effect in a year or so.

Kobe can sacrifice some money now for a chance to win the same number of rings as his idol, Michael Jordan. It's up to him to determine which one is more important.

Yeah Granger ankle is really messed up, the pacers are not playing well at all either. Yeah the Heat seems to smell blood and will win this game tonight and end the series thursday in Indiana.

Spo found the right match ups. The Heat are slaughtering The Pacers. LeBron and Wade are on fire.

Dexter Pittman = Dumbass.

I saw that wink too, I wasn't sure at first but yeah. He's a rookie too, right? :whatever:

Haslem and Pittman have to get suspended...

Pacers are done though

No way Haslem should get suspended, but what Pittman did was cold. Haslem's was just "**** you right back" from earlier. Pittman's was like "**** you and yo mama" And nobody appreciates mama jokes. :BA

Yeah it was cold but Stevenson deserved it for being a dick. Looks like he has a reason to hold his neck now.

You still cannot retaliate with a straight blatant hack to the head...Its a suspension

I don't think Kobe can do that under the new CBA, I might be wrong though.

Yeah, he can't just heard that too. Expert on the radio earlier said it wasn't possible under the new cba.

That foul by Haslem was straight dirty, should of been ejected. It would be stupid and a complete double standard if he didnt get suspended for the next game. Wade already dodged a huge game earlier by that shove on that breakaway that he should of been suspended for.
