2011/2012 NBA Thread: Where Weather Happens

I think that the folks at ESPN/ABC are gearing up to blame a potential Heat loss in the finals on their bench instead of their buddies James and Wade. If they win, "oh we called it!". It's a win-win for them.

Nah, they'll turn on James and Wade again as soon as it becomes trendy to do so.

Will they have a bounty on NBA superstars aswell.:cwink:

20 grand if you can knee Cap Lebron!

:hehe: Well, Gregg Williams is banned from the NFL, not the NBA. I'm sure he can coach NBA, it is all the same.

Anyhow, Celtics are really playing tough tonight. This is exactly as they need to play. They are being physical, getting up in face, holding onto the ball and neutralizing James and Wade. Furthermore, Rondo (who is essentially the key to winning the series for Boston) is playing exactly as he needs to play. The Celtics are doing exactly what they need to do. Chalmers on the other hand is doing what he needs to do. He is stepping up his game to compensate for the neutralization of Wade and James. This is shaping up to be a great game.

The Hornet's got the #1 pick. Let the cries of lottery rigging begin....:o

JUST KIDDING

Anyone catch the pre-game show? Broussard said "I don't think the lottery is rigged, but I can understand how people would think it was." He'll be going on a early vacation when Stern calls ESPN. :o
Man are they killing the NBA and Stern all over the ESPN boards though.

This game is a perfect microcosm of what I've been talking about. Regardless of who wins tonight, Boston once again can't sustain any offense for a full game. And Miami going through one of their typical quarter long offensive lulls (or in this case, half) won't work against SA either

Yeah, neither eastern team looks like they can hold a candle to either western team.

If Gordon is resigned, then the Hornets will be a fringe Playoff team with an even higher ceiling.
Gordon,Davis,Ariza,the 10th pick,Okafor,Jack,etc. Not a bad core.

Celtics are trying so hard to keep James and Wade out of the inside that they are letting the other Heat players stand around the three point line completely unguarded.

COOONNNSPIRAZZZYYY!! :cmad::cmad::cmad:

:funny: My guess is that all of the teams in the draft lottery have been courting the hell out of him. He probably has all kinds of free swag from the various teams.

Seriously, somebody needs to hold that dude down and shave his unibrow. :o

There could be an NBA on ESPN drinking game where you take a shot every time Van Gundy makes the same joke about being "above Magic Johnson." You would be wasted in no time. :(

TNT should do all Playoff games. Their Playoff crew is numero uno.

Yep. They drew the short end of the stick with the Western Conference finals. You know, ECF and WCF are polar opposites. In the West you have two of the most unmarketable teams and in the East you have two of the most marketable teams in the NBA. However, the unmarketable teams are playing far better basketball.

Also, I am shocked that LeBron actually kept the ball and took the shot with the game on the line. :wow:

Too bad he missed it, he could've silenced all of the jerks like me with one shot.
