The mess with the New York Jets just keeps getting worse this offseason. The most recent target of criticism is quarterback Mark Sanchez and, unfortunately for the young signal-caller, the criticism is coming from his own teammates.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News wrote an article early this morning that claims numerous veteran players want Sanchez out. In fact, they would like Peyton Manning or another veteran brought to New York in Sanchezs place.
One anonymous however brave player said, We have to bring in another quarterback that will make him work at practice. Hes lazy and content because he knows hes not going to be benched.
Another Jets source said, Come on. Thats a no-brainer. If you have a chance to get a healthy 36-year-old Peyton Manning and you dont do it, then youre stupid. If I could get a healthy 36-year-old Peyton Manning, then, hell yeah, I would trade Sanchez.
