Yep. The Tebowmania is an insult.

Cam Newton got Carolina 6 wins. That team was destined to only get 2-3 wins this year with our s***ty defense. Newton can be credited for 75% of the Panthers' points too, and was the first rookie QB to throw over 4,000 yards. Where's his parade?

On that subject, where's Dalton's and Ponder's?

Every QB that led his team to a winning record needs a All He Does Is Win anthem.

I want an All He Does Is Win anthem full of highlights from that one season Derek Anderson led the browns to 10-6, dammit! :cmad:

Tebowmania is driving me crazy. ESPN and other sports analysts have hyped his run with the Broncos to the extreme. Tebow has become a pseudo legend. He has been overly hyped and overpraised throughout the season. He has pretty much become a brand. Look, I understand that the man comes off as this great, inspirational role model who can do no wrong and is God's chosen one. As a Protestant like Tebow, it is kinda cool that one who is such a powerful witness for God and Christianity is in the spotlight and has become so popular. However, I am sure there are many great players today and in the past who were even more devout Christians than Tebow is. I am sick and tired of all of these articles trying to make Tebow come off as God's miracle worker. I am tired of divine intervention being brought up. This even disrespects Tebow and his ability. Yeah, the man played some good ball when he needed to. No, the man is nowhere close to being the good quarterback in the NFL. Not yet, at least. God DOES NOT CARE about football. He isn't up there thinking "Hmmm, I'm going to make this and that happen so Tebow can win this football game." That is not how it works.

I can see why Terrell Suggs and other current and former NFL players are pissed at Tebow and Tebowmania. Tebow is on the cover of ESPN magazine after hardly decent first year as stating QB. Tebow is being praised for how he plays as a QB when many others who play the same have been criticized and not even given the chance to be in the NFL because of that. Had Tebow been putting up stellar numbers/performances or at least had other QBs in a similar position do worse than him, I could understand all the praise. Tebow gets all this coverage, all this hype, all this praise, and all these followers, etc. Meanwhile, Cam Newton goes ignored even though he is perhaps, on paper, the best rookie QB in recent history. The Carolina Panthers have won most of their games because of him being there. Look at his yards. Newton plays out of the pocket and has rushing TDs too. Where is his praise? Let's look at Andy Dalton. Where is his praise for a great rookie season? I could go on.

Tebowmania is such an insult to all of the current NFL players. I honestly don't blame current or former players who have spoken out (and those who haven't spoken out due to how they may be perceived by the media) who being resentful. He's not the first QB to bring his team to the post-season. He won't be the last. Whew, okay. My rant is over.

Word on the street is the Jaguars will officially announce Mike Mularkey as their new coach, tomorrow.

I like Mularkey a lot, but his time in Buffalo shows that he is much better as an OC than a head coach. Granted, Buffalo doesn't exactly have the best market and ownership, but neither does Jacksonville. I suppose I get why they are bringing him in. No high profile candidate is flocking to the Jacksonville job and they basically want someone with an offensive background who can groom Gabbert. Then they will drop Mularkey when they move to Los Angeles and get a more high profile HC. Though I'm not sold on Blaine Gabbert being the future of the franchise, to be honest. Oh well....maybe it'll work out for him and he'll surprise everyone?

All he does is win..Matt Moore.

13-12 record, 7-6 in Carolina, 6-6 in Miami.

Just ballin.

Brian Schottenheimer. He out.

Tony Sparano. He in.

Yeah, from what I hear the Jags management like how Mularkey helped develop Matt Ryan, and feel he can do likewise with Blaine.

#Jets will hire former Miami coach Tony Sparano as new OC, according to @mortreport.

Not sure how I feel about that ^

Schotty is fired

Literally this is how I feel right now

How did Bill Callahan do with the Jets Offensive Line because he just got hired in Dallas.

I will miss him...He did a very good job with the Jets and turning Mangold and Brick into players...But the last two years he has gone downwards and that line was putrid

He should do well in Dallas

Mularkey will do well, until Jones-Drew wears down towards the end of the season due to Mularkey calling a run up the middle on every non-passing down.

They could also be bringing in ex Chief's coach Todd Haley. So possibly Sparano will handle the run and Haley will handle passing.

So the Jets will be running towards the Field Goals

Tony Soprano to the Jets? I guess they made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

It is good to see him get out of the "waste management" business down in Miami...

Brian Schottenheimer. He out.

Tony Sparano. He in.

I think just about anyone is an upgrade from Schottenheimer right now, because Jets' offense is consistently on the bottom of the NFL.

Well, Jets have an All-Pro Center Nick Mangold, and he can make just about any OL coach looks like a genius. I do think Callahan did a good job over at New York and I'm surprised that he decides to sign with the Cowboys. However, considering the turmoil that is occurring with the Jets organization right now, it is probably the best time to bail if you can.

Regardless of who is coaching him, I just don't see Gabbert having the talent to be anything more than a Matt Moore type (a really good back up who can have an okay season but nothing spectacular).

They could also be bringing in ex Chief's coach Todd Haley. So possibly Sparano will handle the run and Haley will handle passing.

I've been hearing that Haley is just making his rounds and seeing his options before he ultimately returns to the Cards at which point it will be exactly as you said, only with Russ Grimm handling the run (much like it was during their Super Bowl run).
