He probably won't be able to sell those flat-screen TVs as easily as Payton Manning has been doing.

Yeah, just saw that running on ESPN. Pulled him from the river, kid was only 21.

Damn shame.

I havent followed Ravens at all ever, so I'm cautiously optimistic of their future success. In reality, how big of a chance do they actually got at a superbowl spot?

Anyways I dont really have favourite teams in the NFL, I find it much easier to have "villain" teams hehe so when "they" play I root for "the other" team :) I dont care who gets to the superbowl as long as it is not New England or Green Bay. GAWD I hate those teams! Dont know why, just do :P

The ravens are one of the best balanced teams in the playoffs.

Ravens: Consistent running game that can eat time up as well as move the chains. Joe can also stretch the field with torrey and boldin under neath being our own hines ward. The defense is nasty and can make you one dimensional quick.

Patriots:There offense is effective but not invincible. No deep threat to take the top off a defense and keep them honest. Gronk can be shut down and welker can be kept in check with the right corner on him. There defense is horrible but there opputunistic if giving the chance to pick a ball off. Tom brady is still amzing but he hasnt won a playoff game since 2007 and if you can get pressure on him he can make mistakes.

Texans: Amazing running game and a defense that has really turned it around under wade. There weakness is yates, a 3rd string rookie QB in the playoffs is a mistake waiting tohappen. You can run the ball but at some point you have to throw and I dont think hes got a good deep ball to get it to andre johnson.

Broncos: Which Tebow is gonna show up? if the steelers game tebow shows up then they have a chance to do some damage against new england. the defense is playing with intensity and the fact they want it more makes them deadly.

Saints: very stout offense but a weak defense and at some point constantly putting it on brees shoulders to keep them in games will come back to bite them.

49er's: Very good defense that almost belongs in the AFC. Who is alex smith gonna throw to? Can this offense do enough to keep pace with brees an can the defense do enough to stop them or slow them down.

Giants: Which team will show up? Eli is playing out of his mind but in the cold weather of green bay can this team keep pace with green bay or atleast slow them down as well.

Packers: The offense is at times unstoppable but the defense gives up alot of yards. it wont take much for a few picks and a few things to break the wrong way and the packers find a repeat of KC.

A guy on NFL.com wants a Tim Tebow movie & even cast it & keeps saying how he is a hero. When all he is doing is playing a game. Come on The Patriots shut these *******s up. Make these ****ers cry on TV

I agree, it was alittle vomit inducing yesterday on espn and nfl network. Whenever football was mentioned it was clips of tebow. sometimes the media wants to put a guy on a pedal stool and this is that guy. He seems nice but he is really getting way more credit then he deserves.
what about the defense shutting down the steelers for the most part.

Just about every single one of the Packers victories have been close. They had like maybe 3 blow outs this year but nothing of them have been spectacular. Their defense is awful, they're last place in the league for a reason. Packers biggest problem is that they let every team they play stay in the game. The Saints have gotten way way better since the beginning of the season when the two played and the Giants over the past few weeks have looked like a team to be reckoned with. I haven't even touched on the 49ers and their phenomenal defense. You can't keep any 3 of these teams close towards the end of the game because they will indeed beat you. Henceforth the Packers aren't my favorite in the NFC not even close.
The Packers defense is "awful" because they sell themselves out looking to force turnovers... which they get. They led the league in both forced turnovers and interceptions.

Which gets the offence more chances... in better field position than if they just got it back on punts, also keeps the game flowing and more overall possessions for each team. Turning games into shoot-outs, which benefits them further.

So yeah, they give up yards by the bunch, but overall they're just looking to get the ball back in a hurry. Which they get.

You know what interceptions are, right? They're those things that Eli has a reputation for which he's been trying to shake this year (but still has the seventh most in the NFL).

The Packers also haven't had Jennings, which makes a big difference. All their receivers see greater coverage in his absence. Took a while for Jordy Nelson to make that adjustment (he didn't make his first reception in the Kansas City game until about 5 minutes left in the fourth) to seeing a better quality of cover... and he's grown better for it.

Ultimately, if the Packers play as well as they can. They win. The Giants can't match it with them at that level if they come in at their full potential. I doubt they will... but they don't NEED to in order to win. They just need to get the job done, which I think they will.

What is a pedal stool?

Alex will throw to: michael crabtree, kyle willams, vernon davis. Then out the backfield frank gore:woot:

The world will root for Tebow to beat Brady.

Unlikely though, but you never know

Not everyone will be rooting for Tebow over Brady ... for example, me. Can't wait for someone to send Denver home for the offseason.

I hate the Pats, but even I would be rooting for them to send Tebow & the Broncos home for good.

This guy will be rooting for the Broncos as a whole; not just Tebow.

One thing I agree with Bomani Jones; as good as Tebow is, and he IS a great player, people are paying too much attention to Tebow when the whole damn team is getting better and better.

The problem I have with Tebow is that, he is actually playing on a very underrated team with great defense, but he gets all the credit even though if you look at his numbers, he is quite average. However, since he "led" his team through some 4th Quarter comebacks, people want to anoint him as the Second Coming of John Elway. On the other hand, Mark Sanchez never got any of the accolades that Tebow got, even though he also has some average numbers but his team is also in the ultra-competitive AFC East, and not a mediocre one like AFC West. What's more is that Sanchez actually helped his team won 4 playoff games, all on the road, and gotten them to the AFC Conference Final for two straight years. The difference, people would argue, is that Sanchez had an elite defense (which I would also argue that Tebow has), and Sanchez has thrown more INT than Tebow (but that's because Tebow hardly throws at all).

So can people tell me why Tebow is called a "great player" but Sanchez isn't? To me these two aren't that different from each other, and both have alot of deficiencies that his respective team helped cover up.

Hue Jackson. He gone.

I didn't see this coming, but I think it makes sense that their new GM Reggie McKenzie would want to put his own guy into the head coaching position. Unfortunately for McKenzie, Hue Jackson already gave up two first-round picks for Palmer, so his hands will be tied for the next two years if he wants to build his team through the draft.

Neither player is great. What Tebow has is great heart, no doubt about that. He's a leader, he just needs the skills to go along with it.

Jackson basically ran personnel decisions following Davis' death and he really dropped the ball. He has apparently been very antagonistic towards McKenzie as once Oakland hired a GM he did not want to give up his power. Following his post-San Diego game meltdown, his termination was inevitable. He was never cut out to be a head coach. He was always only an Al Davis puppet. McKenzie wants to build a real team for Oakland rather than allow the cluster **** that has been the past 15 years to continue. He needs a real coach to do that. This firing gives Oakland fans a lot to be excited for, IMO.

Also, this puts us up to 6 head coaches fired. Assuming Caldwell gets the axe, that will make 7, tying last year's number. Which will mean there have been 14 head coaches fired in two years (from 13 teams). Quite the turnover rate.

I'm not one who thrust Tebow into a higher level of QB but I think it's funny that with the Sanchez comparison, that Sanchez's hype is strictly based on his success in the Post Season. And now that the Jets s' the bed, there are louder grumblings that maybe he wasn't that "great".
