You mean like the classy Lakers and Yankees..? :oldrazz:

Ugh. You & your ever present need to shift the focus elsewhere.

When Duke won it's #1 Seed, I didn't gloat, it barely went beyond a sentence. It's the same with the Lakers, the problem's root lies in the ready abundance of haters.

You know I'm just taking the piss, hombre.

And you should take solace in the fact that you're one of the few Dukies I can even talk to... :cwink:

Pretty much you, Nick Horvath and Grant Hill (if I ever got the opportunity). Elton Brand would probably get a "Hey!" too...

Let's not act like there's not some dick Duke fans out there though...

Watching my recorded games now... What the hell was Vince Young thinking with that lob into the end zone? Did he think "If I throw this high enough it'll come down with snow on it and will be too cold for the coverage to pick off"?

Truth...Difference between Cutler and Big Ben:

Big Ben with broken thumb would play next week and Cutler would be out for the season.
One of the reasons why, I think Big Ben is a champion.

Season is far from over, but it looks like a 9-7 team can make the playoffs in the AFC...Giants were one of the best teams in the NFC and now they are "in the hunt" for the playoffs.

It takes only 2 losses or a divisional loss to be considered a team reeling in the league.

He was worthless in Atlanta, and is still the same in Washington.

I was so excited about the Bears win yesterday and then the news started coming out about Cutler's injury. That absolutely sucks.

All because Knox couldn't stay on his feet and Cutler's pass was picked off ...

BTW - Anyone else sick of Desean Jackson's act? I can't stand to watch him anymore and his stupid showboating. I've hated him since his rookie year when he started celebrating a TD too soon and actually left the ball on the 1 yard line.

Just amazing that his stupid, tired act continues.

ESPN just let us know that Tony Romo is the 2nd quarterback in NFL history to win 18 of his first 20 November starts.

ESPN will make news out of anything these days.

Its a pity we have to suffer through the monopoly of that organization.

Tale of two halves for the Lions yesterday. At halftime I was ready to give up on the season.

However, it was nice to see them step up on both sides of the ball and punch the Panthers in the mouth for the final 30 minutes. And did Kevin Smith have a leg transplant from last season? I know Carolina's D isnt the greatest but he was just dominant.

Thanksgiving should be epic. 10-0 vs 7-3. I'm expecting a 49-45 game.

Thats dumb. It's a broken thumb on his throwing hand. We're not chimps, we need our thumbs.

Well, Cutler is the same QB who decided to sit on the sideline in last year's pivotal NFC Championship game with no visible injury. At least he and his ex-fiancee (who have been seen rekindling their broken relationship) will have alot of spare time with each other.

I dunno. Lions have shown that they can play from behind against bad to mediocre teams. But they couldn't do it against Chicago, they couldn't do it against San Fran and they couldn't do it against Atlanta. I think that Green Bay is going to come out strong and early. Score 3 to 4 touchdowns in the first half, while that mean GB defense holds Stafford and co. to 1 and I don't think that they let them come back in the second half.

Yeah, I don't think Lions will be the team that ruins Packers' opportunity for a perfect season. Bears had a chance, but now that Cutler is out I don't see Bears able to do anything to stop the Green Bay freight train.

Um well it appears Ben has broken thumb on his throwing hand as well

Ben Roethlisberger has broken thumb

November 15, 2011

Steelers/NFL

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger revealed Tuesday that he has a small fracture in his right thumb, which is the thumb on his throwing hand.

However, he guaranteed it will not affect his playing status moving forward. Roethlisberger has had issues with his right thumb earlier in his career.

“I refractured it,” Roethlisberger said. “How it happened, I don’t remember.”

All he knew was that the injury occurred in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. He is wearing a protective sleeve on his thumb.

So yeah, not so dumb. If Ben can do it, then Cutler should try. Maybe the severity of this injury is so beyond repair...But, Cutler was able to finish the game

As someone who has broken multiple fingers, yeah you can finish a game (pick up basketball is serious yo) but it will eventually swell up and hurt like all hell.

Also, a fracture and break are two different things. People love to ride on this whole Jay Cutler is weak crap. This is the same Jay Cutler who got destroyed the first 6 weeks of the season due to a ****** O-Line. Now he's a *****.:whatever:

Let's not pretend the Steelers O-Line is the Bears O-line...

If I had to work with the Bears O-line I'd probably call in ghost-sick a couple of times a year myself... F***ing amateurs. [/BALE RANT]

Is it Cutler's choice I think is another question. Not all broken thumbs are equal.

Jay Cutler has had a horrendous OL...But this injury is on him, he threw the INT and went to tackle and got hurt.

I think he's a tough player, he has been abused alot...O-Line is so critical, which is why I am not 100% sure the Packers will repeat. The O-Line for that team is the only weak link.

I'm a Steelers fan here and know of Ben's toughness. But there is a large difference between a fractured thumb and a broken thumb. Big Ben also had a bye week to help it recover...

Because I've fractured by wrist and they just had me wear a wrist guard for a few weeks and then I broke my wrist and I was in a cast for 6 weeks. So, depending on the severity of how badly Cutler broke it chances are he could be out for the season, or at least until the playoffs if the Bears make it. :oldrazz:

I think Bears still have a great shot at making it without Cutler. They're already up on games, and G-men have tough games coming up.
