As great as it was to see the Pens shut out the Preds 6-0 tonight, the true highlight for me was seeing Crosby make Subban eat the ice.

Typical Crosby move to only hit someone when they're either not looking or already down on the ice. But yet he'll insist he's "not dirty" and wonder why the entirety of the rest of the league loathes him.

Wasn't it Crosby who took him down in the first place? Anyway, I'll agree it was sleazy but Subban is a prick too so I wouldn't cry any tears over him. I remember a Pens/Habs game from a few years back where he was taking cheap shots all over the ice. Doesn't make Crosby's actions right though, it's true. Honestly, I'm not even sure why he was so fired up last night; the Penguins were dominating the entire game.

Man Nashville just keeps finding ways to get hosed on goals

The fireworks are already starting up around my house. I hope it doesn't last all night like last time. They drive my dog crazy.

Shame on the rest of the NHL for allowing a injured, depleted Pens team with a concussed star to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions. All 29 of you teams are pathetic. Go move to the KHL.

We're going to start hearing the "D" word from Pens fans. All summer long.
This sucks. :csad:

Please... tell us more about how the Caps are the apex predator of the league and how we just have to deal with it.

Great run by the Pens the last couple years. Next year new blood will rise and be the new force in the east.

Hate to say it but I could easily see pens right back. Crosby, malkin and healthy letang. Murray's the real deal and if Guentzel is too. O yeah with Phil the thrI'll etc. They're deep.

Yeah. Winning two championships in a row is tough enough; three is damn near impossible. But if anyone can do it, they can. Regardless, I fully expect them to to deep into the playoffs next year and for many years to come.

ugh

anyone else hear the Nashville fan telling Milbury to go "**** himself" during the post game? LOL

Next few days are going to be pretty crazy from a trade standpoint as teams jockey their rosters and protected lists for the expansion draft.

I heard someone shouting "GET THE F*** OUT OF NASHVILLE" at the end. Look, I get it, your team lost. It sucks. But the Nashville fans came off like a**holes last night. Why would you stick around after the game just to boo the winning team? Seriously, just leave. Go out. Drink some beer. Listen to some music. Eat some hot chicken. Nashville is a great city. Enjoy it! No need to hang around and act like a bunch of sore losers. Then again, we're talking about a fanbase that brings dead fish with them to throw onto the ice.

I don't know; I've now seen the Pens win the Stanley Cup on their opponents' turf three times in this millennium, and I don't recall the fans in Detroit or San Jose acting the way Nashville fans did last night. And I'm not excusing Pittsburgh fans--they can certainly be a**holes too and have been at times this post season--but the ******** Preds fans took it to some other level last night.

I think they hung around to boo Gary Bettman like every other hockey fan in their right minds LOL

Also I think they went after Milbury for his whole "he had it coming" comment after the Crosby/Subban thing.

I dont think either Detroit or San Jose lost the deciding game on a controversial no goal either though.

Something for all the Caps fans who are seething with rage today...

Preds definitely got a tough break with that whistle, but my sympathy died fast with all the whining about the refs wanting the Pens to win, especially with only one team actually having penalties called on them during that game.

Yeah, it was a blown call, but blown calls happen. The Preds had more than enough chances (4 power plays, two of which combined to give them a 5 on 3, while the Pens had 0) and they still couldn't score.

Habs acquire Drouin for Sergachev.

Sneaky move by the Lightning. Now they dont have to leave Namestinkov unprotected in the expansion draft, and Vegas can't select Sergachev since he hasn't played enough NHL games.

Expansion draft is weds, mike smith to Calgary.

Shows how shallow the Canucks roster is right now that I have absolutely no qualms about who they're leaving unprotected. I'm guessing Vegas will take Luke Sbisa off our hands, which would make the Canucks better. The only guy I don't want to see go is Brendan Gaunce, but it wouldn't completely break my heart if he did.
