I blame Fitz himself for that, though. He signed a huge contract while the QB situation was in flux. I understand taking the money, but he's paying for that choice now.

I agree. He had a chance to leave Arizona, but he took the money and stayed, so you cannot pity him for making the decision. At least he can console himself going home to his million-dollar mansion.

Arizona GM: *dials phone number*
Miami GM: *answers* Hey, sup?
Arizona GM: -_- We need Matt Moore please.
Miami GM: ...Excellent.

Arizona is in lots of trouble...give Miami and 4th and 5th round pick to Miami NOW. As long as Kolb or Skelton is starting...playoffs seem slim.

Matt Moore would be nice, but it wouldn't matter, because the oline would get him murdered.

We're definitely gonna need a replacement for Thomas Davis. He's injury-prone and has already torn his ACL three times. He could very likely be released this off-season. So I'm down with a Bulldog replacing another Bulldog. It's not like Davis was ever an elite OLB anywho.

Jones | Beason | Kuechly

I like the sound to that. We do need another pass-rusher. That said, our DBs are shameful. I'm still holding out on our pair of rookies (Norman, Munnerlyn) but Gamble and Nakamura shouldn't even be starters.
Secondary may be a bigger hole, but if he's there you just can't pass up Jones. The man is a beast of Von Miller and Clay Matthews proportions.

What have you heard?
Nothing concrete, but it is known that he's on the trading block. Along with Steven Jackson and Jared Cook.

I know, I know. Larry took the contract over the higher stats and possible hardware, but Fitzgerald is arguably the best wide-out in the game today. So teams like The Patriots, Eagles, Texans, Packers, 49ers, Ravens, Giants, Steelers, Falcons, Broncos, Lions, Chargers, Saints, Cowboys, Bengals, etc were never going to look at Fitzgerald because of the hefty price tag attached to him, cap room space, and/or the core of wide receivers already on the team.

Larry likely would've found himself in St. Louis, Seattle, Cleveland, Tennessee, Miami, Tampa Bay, Kansas City, or Minnesota. Granted, four of these teams are finding surprising success and could be playoff-bound but no one saw that coming.

But hey, it's not like Arizona is a **** team anymore. They've got a very good head coach and a growing defense. The only piece they lack is a franchise QB and perhaps a high-level Tackle to protect him. Similar to Tony Gonzalez, perhaps Larry is being loyal to Arizona, and believes in the program too.

That man is going to the H.O.F without ever having a elite (besides warner for 2 years) qb. I could only imagine his stats, if he had one.

No question. Fitzgerald is a Hall of Famer. He's that good. If had a QB like Stafford, Brees, Rodgers, Rivers, Ryan, or Manning, he'd be posting crazy numbers (like +1,500 yards and 18 TDs a year).

If Arizona never gets it together I have no doubts that they'd trade Fitz to a Super Bowl contender later in his career. Basically what KC did for Gonzalez. Larry deserves a Super Bowl ring.

Yeah, it couldn't hurt to have an impact player like him aboard. Players like Matthews and Suggs are so damn disruptive that they free up other defenders and make them appear golden.

You think he'll enter the draft? He's a Junior.

No way he doesn't IMO. He knows that he's a top 5 talent, and I don't think he'll risk an injury in college ball next year.

Yep. Tony stayed with Kansas City until the end, and he left with class. Larry is that type of player too, so I'm positive Arizona will repay him in similar fashion down the road if they remain a subpar team.

I would like to see Gonzalez and Fitzgerald get their rings.

good game 49ers...alex and crabs were balling

Kolb was actually doing very well before the terrible o-line started taking it's toll on him and got him murdered: http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/10480/kevin-kolb

Honestly, the best thing the Cards could do is lose out, just so they could get the best lineman in the draft. That team won't go anywhere if they can't protect the QB.

True. Carolina technically has the worst record in the league, right? We could get our hands on another franchise player.

The question is do we draft a linebacker, cornerback or safety? Or do we take a massive risk and draft a wide receiver or running back over a offensive lineman?

If Cleveland finishes with a worse record than us they're gonna draft Jarvis Jones. That's a guarantee. Jacksonville and Kansas City are most likely gonna draft QB's. I would love for the Panthers to go after a guy like Manti Te'o or Star Lotulelei.

DeAngelo Willaims is likely gone next season, Steve Smith is getting older and our O-Line is garbage.

Williams is rumored to be on the trading block this week. I think we should trade him away and get some draft picks.

I think that should a WR finish the year strong, Cleveland would either reach or trade down for one., they need a receiving threat more than a pass rush.

The WR class this year is horrible. Unless one of them, like you said, finishes strong, I don't see how the Browns can pass him up.

I like Te'o. He's an energetic and violent tackler but Manti appears as if he'll strive better as an ILB, and we already have Beason and Kuechly (two excellent ILBs). We desperately need an explosive pass-rushing OLB. So, naturally, Jarvis would be the ideal pick-up for Carolina.

I wouldn't complain if we drafted Te'o though. He's the type of player you could build a defense around too.

I'm hoping for that. We need to load up in the DB and O-Line department.

Well, it appears Steve Smith is on the trading block. Rumor has it that The Bears want him. It's speculative at this point but it's a reality check. Smith isn't going to be around forever but I don't want to let him go. Mainly because it wouldn't be a Panthers' team without Steve Smith, and Cam Newton won't have a dependable and dangerous wide-out to throw to anymore.

However, Steve has been loyal to Carolina for years, and perhaps wants to finish his career with a contender.

This off-season is going to suck. :csad:
