I wonder how they would do the format?

Would the 6th and 7th seed play each other? Winner goes on to play the 3rd seed the following week? Or, would they have 1st gets the bye while the other 6 teams face each other? I'm going with the latter because there's no way they would have the #1 seed sit out for 2 weeks.

There's another article I read that says the #1 seed would be the only team with a bye, so #2 would play #7, #3 would play #6, and #4 would play #5.

I'm not opposed to the idea since it would give my team an extra chance to play in the postseason.

Jay Cutler is doing Jay Cutler things.

Where does it end though? The nore playoff slots there are the less special the accompaniment will be.

Honestly, the playoffs are fine the way they are.

Quit screwing around, Goodell! :argh:

I really don't see a problem with adding one team per conference. Also if only the number one seed gets a bye, it becomes much more coveted.

Leave it the way it is. I'm not big on rewarding mediocrity.

You watch, people are going to make a huge stink about a lousy NFC East team that wins the division with a 6-10 or 7-9 record hosting a wild card team that wins 10 or 11 games.

I like the NBA playoffs. They've been entertaining for the past couple of years. If there's any sport that can use playoff expansion it's baseball.

I think there's been sub .500 teams in the NBA playoffs the past 5 years, right?

This is the first time since 1998 two undefeated teams have played each other on Monday Night Football this far into the season. Didn't realize how rare it is, but when you figure only a handful of teams stay undefeated even into week 4 it makes sense.

The Giants' D-Line hasn't been good since 2011.

Don't diminish it. JPP and Tuck were getting big pressure last year. They haven't been great this year but that doesn't take anything away from our rankings (4th in the league). Thus far, The Panthers' offensive linemen have been maulers for the run game, at least.

Tebow should start his own CFL team. Have Sanchez be his back up. Then get Ocho & Owens in there somewhere. The team name can be Retired

No. They have already expanded and 1/3 of the teams are in. Anymore and it seems to easy. Sure it means more and better chances for the lesser teams but still.

So it's like that again, RD? Really brah? Why did you have to remind me that game actually occurred?

If they lost to Tom Brady and a crew of unknowns, I wish them good luck against teams like Green Bay, San Francisco, New Orleans, and the Seahawks.

:o
The Falcons don't lose games by large margins. The last time they lost a game by more than 10 points was in 2011. The games against GB, SF and SEA won't look any different than the ones against NO, STL, MIA and NE.

Eh, it's a new season. We'll see. After the Super Bowl in February, if you were to tell me half of the things that have already happened this season, I would have slapped the hell out of you.

Sucks that Wake is out. Someone in the D-line is going to have to step up. *coughOdrickcough*

Yeah it's a new season, but the Falcons aren't really playing any different. Losing to 3 undefeated teams early in the season is nothing to beat yourself up about. They had a tough opening to this season, but it's about time to get out of that slump.

Geaux Saints!!!! :D

Edit: My avatar is quite appropriate at the moment.

Well, that sucked.
