Can you imagine this kind of weather during the Superbowl? Horrible, horrible idea.

I'm honestly glad it's in the Meadowlands. Can't wait for a cold superbowl.

So it won't rain in Santa Clara in 2016? With a low of 46 in an open stadium?

Same here. I hope this Super Bowl is a success so it open up the doors for other cities to make a bid.

I wonder if the NFL realizes how stupid their "Super Bowl must have good weather", idea really is. I'd guess not.

Santa Clara has completely different weather from San Francisco. It's cool, not cold nor is it rainy as consistently as SF.

The fact that they've been mulling the idea of postponing the Super Bowl to Mon/Tues from bad weather kind of baffles me. As far as I'm concerned, they should play the game on Sunday, snow or no snow.

So how much did the refs get paid for this game? geeze.

But there is still a chance?

And on the days of the last few Super Bowls in NJ it hasn't rained or snowed.

Super Bowl VI was played outdoors at Tulane Stadium in New Orleans. The temperature at kickoff was 39 degrees. So it's not like the Super Bowl hasn't been played in a cold weather situation before.

Ugly and somewhat unsatisfying, but I'll take the win.

I think the Dolphins defense just won this game by watching these offenses.

As for the SB...I hope it snows as well. I want a unique element we've never had before. These players are making millions...they should be able to play in some cold weather.

So a Packers/Texans Snow Bowl wouldn't be a disadvantage for anyone?

What if the AFC Championship game is played in snow? Teams play in different environments through the whole season. A Super Bowl would be no different. Would Houston have an advantage over Green Bay if it was played in dome?

And nobody would have an advantage in a Snow Bowl, since most of those teams that play in cold weather don't usually have snow ridden fields. There might be snow showers every now and then. The last game I remember played in the snow was Buffalo/Cleveland around 6 years back.

edit: Actually there have been some snow games in the past few years.

That Dobson guy was pitiful to watch. I'm surprised Brady didn't strangle him right there on the field.
