Hines Ward: Steelers Locker Room in Disarray

No surprise there. Tomlin has no control over the team. This is what happens to all "players coaches," eventually.

I am definitely not surprised. Hines Ward as well as a few others were the glue that held the team together after Cowher left. That is the reason why he should have been given one more season instead of being given his walking papers. F*** it. All the organization needs is another dismal season before things finally happen.

Looks like Alex Smith is going to be traded. Unknown until 3/12 when the league year starts.

Rumors are that it's either KC or Jacksonville. The Jags were quick to deny it.

No way KC passes on Geno Smith for Alex Smith, is there? Especially after how impressive Geno was in the combine. Oh well....another comical misstep in Andy Reid's never ending quest to be a modern day Marv Levy, I suppose.

Im sorry but Alex Smith is better than any QB you're gonna find in this years draft with the exception of maybe Matt Barkley, that's it.

No he isn't. San Fran won games in spite of him. They had to plan around his lack of ability (quick screen passes and short dumps). He isn't the type of QB who can put a team on his shoulders and lead them to championships. He is a game manager. KC rebuilding their team around a game manager is mind boggling. Cutting Matt Cassel in favor of Alex Smith is mind boggling as they are essentially the same player. And spare me the crap about how Alex would've been great if he had consistent coaching from the beginning. He didn't. He's not. Could'ves and would'ves mean jack. Trading for a near 30 year old draft bust over drafting Geno Smith (who is admittedly rough around the edges but has potential) is just a crazy misstep in my eyes.

I hear that Tom Brady is retiring, and the Patriots are willing to break the bank to bring Matt Moore in as his successor.

Brady/Peyton have a good 3-5 years left. I wouldn't doubt that Belichick is now understanding the horizon is approaching....the duo will split up and he needs to groom someone for the future, but I feel that future is quite far away.

heading to k.c..thats where he should be

I've watched every game Alex Smith has ever played as a pro. He is NOT Matt Cassel. Alex was NEVER as bad as advertised. He's a smart guy who works his a$$ off. He's mobile and he accurate on short to medium routes. He does has issues thowing deep
What Alex needed early in his career is a good OC. He had that with Norv in year 2 when he had a huge performance increase from year one. He didn't get another one till Harbaugh/Roman. Alex has that in Reid. Alex will be much better in KC than any of you think. The only reason SF is trading him at all is that Colin Kaepernick is freakin ridiculous good.

I'm just hoping we can get something decent for him in return, maybe a late 2nd rounder or 3rd round; I'd be content with that. It's kind of funny how a lot of our former QBs end up in KC....LOL (DeBerg, Montana, Grbac, etc.)

People were talking about a potential Revis/Alex Smith deal if the Jets were really looking at him. With Revis in your Secondary the Niners D would be even more unstoppable next season.....but I feel I aim too high for the stupid Jets :(

Brady restructures deal, unselfish act for him. I'm happy as a Pats fan.

Y'know, people can say whatever they want about Brady being a crybaby, but the man is a class act when it comes to his organization. This isn't the first time he's restructured either. I truly can admire him for that.

Reid always seemed more about the big play? Don't see how Smith will a great fit unless Reid changes his coaching style or Smith learns to throw deep.

:wow: even Matt Moore knows how to throw deep. Although he kinda overthrows it a bit..and makes the WR reach for it, but that takes away the INT factor.

well its easy to be altruistic when your wife makes $45 million a year ;)

Brady and his stupid hair can die in a fiery crash somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle for all I care. But that's just the thought of one Jets fan....or every :D

I also hope Belichick's hoodie closes on his stupid face and gets tied around the back of his head one game.

Anyway.....not only does Te'o have to worry about his off field media fest, he ran a 4.81 40 yesterday... :/ ...really dude?

**** Brady, but **** Bellichek more.

You people need some serious help. :whatever: :whatever: :whatever:

I loathe the Patriots, I don't want Brady and Belichick to hit four because then they have equaled Bradshaw and Noll. But I do respect the two of them. Belichick is EASILY the best coach of this generation. POSSIBLY the best coach ever. Brady is EASILY the best quarterback of this generation and POSSIBLY the best QB ever. Hard not to respect that.

It starts with the fans. I know they had fans pre 01 but they came out of the woodwork after they won.

I mean who wouldn't want a team run the way the Patriots. Good owner, great head coach, and HOF QB. Most teams are lucky to have only 1.

I hate the Patriots because for since I could remember Brady and the Pats have been owning the AFC East. I can not stand it.

2 or 3 years ago when the Jets knocked the Pats out of the playoffs was my superbowl. That was the greatest victory I have ever watched as a Jet fan.

Its like how Mets fans loath Yankee fans, they are jealous of all the glory they have.
