Matt Moore resigns with the Dolphins. Dolphins AFC East favorites.

Brian Hartline is also staying with the Fins

Wow, Sherman is an idiot. Like a legitimate big league idiot. I have Zero respect for him.

Dolphins fans are saying Moore may be traded for picks in his second year on thisd 2 year deal. And it's a bit backloaded. Around 3M this year.

I like Richard Sherman but why did he even agree to come on the show if he was gonna act like a guarded dog the whole time? Skip couldn't even get a question out before Sherman wailed out some uneducated insults at him.

Even on a show like first take, he made himself look like a fool.

I like Sherman, but he was a straight fool in that video. Even Skip Bayless of all people didn't deserve all of that. That s*** was unnecessary. Oversensitive ******** punk ass motherf***er with zero class who was stuttering the whole time.

And no one thought the KC Chiefs would be so desperate to give up a 2nd round pick this year and next year for Alex 'Blah' Smith.

Alex Smith has actually been very productive including leading the league in passing % and took the Niners to the NFC title game.

What has Moore done? Hes going to sit around doing nothing and cash in $4M a year. Hes not worth it

Isn't the word out that Smith is a game manager who has no deep pass? Today's NFL isn't really for game managers, let alone ones with no deep pass?

Moore is underrated and has a nice deep ball. in 2011 he was 6-6 as a starter, going 6-3 in his last 9 starts. 2,497 yards passed. 16 TD's, 9 INT's.

Last season he came in for a injured Tannehill in NY and put up 11 for 19, 131 yards passed, 1 TD, 0 INT leading Miami to beat NYJets.

So yeah, he's done stuff. Smith may end up failing in KC. lulz.

Dunta Robinson agrees to deal with Chiefs.

He can sign now because he had already been released.

In 2011, Smith went 13-3 as a starter, including 7-2 in his last 9, and only threw FIVE picks all season...

And really? Is "beating the Jets" now an "impressive" stat?

And Smith MAY end up doing really well in KC... yay

:yay:

If Matt Moore was as impressive as you believe, he'd have a starting job somewhere... instead of always sitting on the bench.

Alex Smith > Matt Moore but that isn't saying much. Alex Smith's stats are impressive because Harbaugh protected him. The really telling number about Smith is his third down conversion rate, which is absolutely abysmal. No way around it, KC got trade raped.

In 2012, Smith was 38 for 56 on 3rd down... about 2/3's of his passes were caught... sacked 9 times...

I think he's a far better 3rd down QB than you give him credit for... and in MY opinion, your basing your comments on the 2011 NFC Championship game where he went something like 2-13 on third down...

I'm not saying he's the best... but I wouldn't call abysmal.

At least we can agree that he's a better QB than Moore...

I do agree that KC got fleeced a second round in itself was too much. Add to that I'm assuming if KC does well, SF will get a second #2 draft pick.

He probably should have gone for a 3rd round pick.

Also, if he only has to throw short to mid range passes, his completion rate is going to be probably higher and turnovers are down. I've said it before I don't see how he's going to fit with Reid's big play style of play.

My biggest problem with the trade was, KC could've just called San Fran's bluff. San Fran would've traded Smith to KC for a 7th round pick if need be. All reports indicate that only two teams were interested in Smith: KC and Arizona. No matter what Zona offered San Fran, they would not trade Smith to a divisional rival. Therefore San Fran had two options:

1) Release Smith, take a cap penalty AND risk him signing with a division rival (Arizona)

or

2) Trade Smith to KC for whatever KC is offering, keep Smith out of the hands of a division rival and at least get something for him (while avoiding a cap penalty).

If KC offered a 5th, 6th or even 7th round pick, San Fran would have had no choice but to accept it. San Fran was playing chicken with KC and Andy Reid flinched first. The fact that Andy Reid got played so badly and was made to look like a chump by San Fran's front office would make very weary of him as a KC fan.

Teach him well and let him lead the way.

@AdamSchefter League-wide expectation is that WR Mike Wallace winds up in Miami with the Dolphins.

Harvin might get traded to Seattle it looks like

So he goes from catching passes from the future QB of the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL to one of the young up and coming QB's in the NFL.
