2013/2014 NFL Thread: The place to get Hernandez'd

Hopefully they get him to cut some weight, looks like a damn bodybuilder out there.

He's trying to bulk up so he can throw 50 yards.

Larry Fitzgerald will judge the Miss USA Pageant.

If things don't go well for Arizona this year and Carson Palmer goes back to sucking, Fitz may get frustrated and want out of Arizona to play with an actual NFL QB, not with a bunch of guys who would probably dominate the Arena League but couldn't even throw a lick in the NFL. He'd also want to play for a contender.

He's probably the NFL player I feel the most sorry for. Imagine the numbers he would put if he had Brees, Brady, Flacco, Manning (both of them), RG III, Luck, Wilson, Romo or Rodgers at QB.

Things could get interesting in the desert the upcoming season.

Throw in Roethlisberger, Rivers, Ryan, Newton, and Stafford as well. With a good QB, Fitzgerald could have THRIVED. If there is one player in the league right now who's career has never lived up to it's potential, it is him. That is undisputed.

I don't care how the depth chart ends up. He's getting another opportunity on an NFL roster. Everyone deserves a second chance in life. He's no different.

I agree.

For the media circus that came about after Tebow signed to New York, he deserved his chance at QB. I don't care what anyone says. You don't pay that man that much money for him to sit on the damn bench. You have a faltering QB and a fan base who chants Tebow's name, yet you don't even give him a whole QUARTER to play. It would have been the perfect time to showcase if Tebow could have saved the team (doubtful, but hey) or have finally proven to be the fluke that many have claimed.

Listening to ESPN, you'd think Tebow is going to take over for Tom Brady immediately.

In Week 2, when the Patriots are up by 2 TDs, and they are 1st and goal from the 1, I can see them bringing in Tebow to stick it to Ryan.

What I really thing is going to happen, is they are going to try and "fix" Tebow, and then trade him with another team.

I believe Bill Belichick has something up his sleeve. You just don't go out and grab Tebow for nothing. This is a good fit for Tebow anyway. It's not like there's gonna be a QB competition. This is a good place for him to learn more.

I keep hearing that it was because Urban Meyer called in a favor to Belichick. I guess they're close friends or something.

I always figured it was because Josh McDaniels is OC and pulled some things with Darth Belichick. So essentially, McDaniels is an unselfish Boba Fett.

:o

Mike Tomlin: Guys should be prepared, not just ready.

Ah, once again, we see the one area where Mike is an adequate coach, spouting out sound bytes that really don't mean a whole hell of a lot when you think about it. Much like "The standard is the standard," I'm not really sure what the hell "guys should be prepared not ready," means...considering that the two words mean the exact same thing!

Sportsmeda101 is reporting that Aaron Hernandez just arrested in connection with murder.

All the Pats gotta do is give Tebow enough money for a conversation that he wont say no to

They were quoting Boston Globe BUT I don't think it's true.

However, Schefter is saying he's in practice but the news choppers are circling. I'm wondering if they are waiting for him to be picked up?

Jacksonville Stadium is going to wipeout 7000 seats, to make way for a new huge-ass Jumbotron.

Red = gone. It'll likely be done for the 2014 season.

It's sad that a seat reduction actually makes sense there.

This Hernandez thing is pretty nuts. I'm reading things online that he destroyed camera footage from his security system and wiped his phone. I've never heard of this guy being in trouble before. He must be hanging around some shady people, it's a common pitfall these players encounter in every sport.

If true, this could be colossal to the Patriots image. Kraft would release him without question I think.

It's not their fault he made a poor choice in life. I don't think it does anything to tarnish what they built. I think it will look more like a tragic footnote in the Belichick/Brady era.
