There's something about season 3 that I just can't stand. Would love to go through them again some day and do a real ranking of the seasons. This is just based off memory and what I can remember.

LOL, S3 is one of my faves. I feel like it's one of the most distinctive, and Michelle's time trapped in that hotel with all those dying people was one of the most tense and haunting situations I've seen in the entire run of the show. Jack finally got to kill Nina, Sherry finally got what was coming to her and Kim even got to be a little useful at one point! :oldrazz:

What a way to end an excellent season and hopefully it's not it for the series. Had a feeling we'd see one of the Heller's bite it. Didn't see that particular ending coming but it just goes to show that Jack doesn't really get a happy ending to end a season.

As for the future of the series, I wouldn't be opposed to them using some past agents that Jack has worked with to get him back. With the producers teasing an extra on the Blu-ray/DVD showing what's happening to Tony, I'm getting the feeling he may be involved somehow in the future or it's just a nice tidbit for the fans.

Haha...yes. It did wrap up a few stories from the previous seasons. I really didn't care for Chase all that much. I'm gonna have myself a 24 marathon at some point in the future. Maybe my opinion will change on it.

For some reason, I've always like the odd seasons more than the even ones (although Season 4 happens to rate pretty well in my mind) so S3 is definitely one of my favorites. I'd say my favorite is probably S5, followed closely by S1.

Chase was awesome...

I've just started the re-watch, wow the tech was bad in Day 1.

Why haven't we got a blu-ray box set yet? My DVD (first release) is soooooo grainy.

5>1>3>9>7>4>2>2nd half of 8>>>>>>>>>> >6>1st half of 8. Finale delivered for me. Really the second half of season 8, 4 and 2 could swap spots too depending on my mood.

Season 5 is just great all around. It has, IMO, 2 of the series best villains with Christopher Henderson and Charles Logan.

Meh, I never had a problem with Chase, though I didn't really miss him in later seasons now that I think about it, either.

I'm currently doing a re-watch myself, and so far, my opinions have only changed on S1 (gone down. Everything to do with Teri really bugged me more than Kim this time.) and S2 (gone up. If you ignore the Kim BS, which I had a hard time doing on 1st watch, the A-plot is one of the most compelling of all, imo). My opinion on S3 is exactly the same (one of the strongest), and I'm still disliking S4 to the point of wanting to just skip ahead to the end on my re-watch so I can get to my favorite season, lol. I just really don't care for Audrey, and I HATE the lady who was running CTU that year. I also missed all the other familiar characters in all the earlier episodes. On the flip-side, I don't hate Kim as much this time, so that's something (though I think Elisha Cuthbert's awesome character on Happy Endings is partially responsible for that).

Of Course who doesn't like Peter Weller and Charles Logan was the Villain people love to hate.

Yeah, I always said this series followed the "opposite Star Trek" rule - the odd seasons are the best. I even like 7 quite a bit. And now 9. So based on that pattern...if we do get Day 10 I'll be crossing my fingers for it to buck the trend, lol.

Can't believe how divisive this finale is. The critics are raving about it while it seems the fanbase is decidedly more mixed (especially on one of the biggest 24 fan pages, 24 Spoilers.) Seems the big kerfuffle is over Audrey's death and how they did the time jump without the emotional aftermath with Jack and the other characters. I'd say that's the big trade-off with having such a limited number of episodes and getting as much emotional depth/backstory as a traditional 24 season, which seems to to be a major complaint among some fans.

I love how this series has had a trilogy of trilogies...

1-2-3
All deal with internal struggles, great sacrifice, and broken foundations.

4-5-6
The betrayal of one's own government and utter loss of personality/humility.

7-8-9
Continual redemption, but with utter disrespect and confusion... he can do only what he knows what to do; fight.

I trust critic over fans.....I doubt every fan on 24 spoiler are realy fans just haters............Audrey death make sense so she won't suffer any future trauma

so what would season 10 be

Honestly, the only two things Jack can get in the end...

Retirement (happy ending with Kim and grandkids) or sacrificial Death.

I've given up on several fans over there since it seems all they've done is complain since even Season 7. Seems the more reasonable, non-hater fans are being drowned out by the more boorish of the lot.
