Note, the 2010s, not 2012's, Nick. :)

2010s = 2010 to 2020, just like 1990s = 1990 to 2000.

Watching the first time Peter vists Oscorp in ASM1 and watching him visiting Harry in ASM2 at Oscorp, side by side feels so ****ing weird.

Pictures don't really do it justice, but man, the guy looks and carries himself so different.

He's much more confident in TASM2?

Also... dat hair. :oldrazz:

ASM 2 soured a lot for me on the third viewing. It felt like instead of focusing on tight, well written character interaction like the first one they focused on universe building and it backfired. That, plus the fact that is so visually and tonally different it doesn't even feel like the same continuity. Peter doesn't even feel, look or act like the same character.

Peter is such an interesting character in the first one. His feelings of confusion and isolation due to his parents leaving, his strained relationship with his adoptive family, his grief over Uncle Ben, his joy at discovering his powers, his burgeoning relationship with Gwen, his guilt over the Lizard, him figuring out what his responsibilities really are... There is so much great character drama in the first one that ASM 2 just pales in comparison, not to mention I miss ASM's great cinematography. It just looks more like a film than 2.

If I hadn't seen the first one, I probably could enjoy the second one more as a fun superhero movie but I can't because the first one got me so invested and attached to this version of the character that it hurts me to see it go to waste in just an average popcorn blockbuster.

Well, yeah. He's still a little awkward in the ASM2 scene, but nowhere near as uncomfortable as the first time he went there. Gotta say Andrew pulled off Peter's awkwardness pretty damn good in the first movie, looked almost too genuine.

And his hair was so fabulous in ASM1. RIP.

Ah I see. My apologies.

No need. I still love you.

Yeah... but if you turn your brain off. :cwink:
I turned my brain off, and then it woke up and said I need to shoot it to be able to enjoy that movie
I don't want to hold a gun

So, i saw the deleted scenes i thought:

overall, i think the Harry deleted scenes could´ve helped to make his character better, Max´s mother scene remembered me why i think Max had some mental issues and i think he was crazy, you can see Gwen writting the letter to Peter, the plane sequence had Richard seeing his dead wife with a bleeding nose...foreshawoing :o and finally, i´m glad they didn´t go with that ending
So basically
Deleted scenes for this movie are mostly a big pile of crap

I call it like this
2010s = 2010-2019
1990s = 1990-1999

I saw all of those deleted scenes and only like 6 of them would've made the movie better.

Was the alternate death scene in there?

Of the deleted scenes the only one I saw is the "Question of the Day" scene

I've only seen the ones with Harry. Can't find the other ones - no idea where people are getting them from.

Alternate Gwen death? No. :csad:

However, there was an alternate version of the Parent's death.

man, the PARENTS! they always get everything! peter's love, uncle ben and peter's mythos, uncle ben's respect, and now they get their own alternate deaths. WHY CAN'T WE GET THE GWEN DEATH LIKE WE ASKED!?! no one asked for the parents' deaths nor did anyone know about it! i really don't want them to be more important than anything in the sequel. ugh, even finding out about their alternate death scene is an insult

Yeah it's a bit different. He's a tiny bit more comfortable and more social. But by only a tad. Look at his body language in the TASM2 scene. Before he goes through the turnstile, he quickly passes by that guy, and it's very "self-conscious". Also when he's walking behind Felicia and all.

I actually think the difference is huge. Again, the pictures don't do it justice, I'd recommend watching the scenes wide by side. I mean, holy hell, did he look awkward as hell the first time.

But yes, he still looks a little uncomfortable in the ASM2 scene. The "oh, okay, thank you" sounded a tad awkward.

I love his body language, really shows how used he is to moving around.

Edit: Looks like Pete's still rocking that Ralph Lauren belt in ASM2, as well. :)

peter is actually gaining confidence but is still sorta awkward in the second movie much like in the comics.

Seeing GotG tomorrow. Didn't expect it, but I'm actually kinda excited.

Saw it last night.

It was one of the most fun movies I've been to in recent memory. A total blast. I give it a 9/10 and I have to say just on pure entertainment and enjoyment, this was my favorite CBM this year, thus far. Crazy. Never saw that coming.

I'm hopefully seeing it tonight, hopefully I don't end up at TF4 again!

Actually seeing it with my father, haven't seen one with him since IM1, so it's pretty special.

That's awesome.

I usually don't join in on **********s, but if they're justified. **** it. Reddit can't seem the shut the hell up about GotG though, but again, it's probably justified. :)

Enjoy it K! It'll be a blast! :woot:

I'm hoping, and honestly, expecting to enjoy it quite a bit.

That TF4 thing was ****ing weird, man. Not sure if that's even legal.

Nice. Been a long time since I saw a movie with my dad.
