I have to say, you still are very fortunate; especially in terms of a loving wife that is your eyes and ears (get it?) when it comes to Spidey. Whenever I find my "soulmate," that's certainly one of the things I'll be looking for, so you are a lucky man.

In regards to people generally around me, I too get the same treatment. Occasionally I'll get teased here and there, but for the most part my family was always there for me when it came to me discussing Spidey over the years. I would always get some kind of surprise Spidey related as a birthday present, or generally throughout the holidays. People have texted me after the releases of TASM1 and TASM2 and asked me if it's worth seeing. My friends have gotten me a couple t-shirts and memorabilia as well. It always means a lot to me that they try to contribute to something I'm passionate about, even if they're not that interested in Spider-Man themselves. I realize I can be redundant and repetitive, and I would probably get annoyed if someone did the same to me, so I keep that in mind and appreciate their support.

I have a question, though. Do people know about you being on the Hype, or is this something you generally keep to yourself? There's only one person who knows about me being on the boards. It hasn't been intentional or anything, but I guess I never saw much reason to tell anyone.

I've no issues with telling someone about my interests--I guess you could say I'm an 'out of the closet' nerd. lol. The only one who takes interest in what goes on around the boards though, is the wife. She often asks questions, like, "what did everyone think of the movie?", or other things along that line.

I forgot to mention, the other day I was around my mom when I had the Hype open and she asked me why I was reading so carefully So i guess she's another person that knows. But other than the surface level CBM discussions, I hope I can delve into deeper conversations the way you can.
