I thought you were gonna help me take out HYDRA!? I'm hiding here and THEY'LL FIND ME!

Well, to be honest, I have seen bits of Ultimate and the Spectacular rendition, but it wasn't to the extent where I was watching it in order and knew what was going on. I tried to see the first two episodes of SSM a few weeks ago, but I never got around to continuing it.

I told Andrew a while back how I want to know more about Batman, in terms of his comics. But I guess watching TAS for him and Superman will work for now, so I'll definitely bookmark those!

I'll add Avatar and the Green Lantern to my list of things to watch as well. As I mentioned before, I have a whole document which has a list of movies and shows I need to watch, and it's backed up more than ever before :funny:

In terms of Avatar's plot, is it similar to James Cameron's movie? Or is it entirely different? I remember how hooked I was after watching the film, and it made me want to start reading the book...also something I have yet to do!

I appreciate the suggestions.

You really need to watch TSSM from beginning to end. As a Spidey fan, that should be your number one priority, imo. And yeah, I am incredibly biased but that doesn't take away how awesome the show is and you're missing out by not watching it. I know the character designs can be off-putting to some because they appear too kiddish, however, the show is written so well. It's made by fans of Spider-Man for fans, adults, kids and anyone really.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is not related to James Cameron's film Avatar in any way. They are completely different other than the fact that they share the word Avatar in the title.

Oh, I'm sorry, did I break your concentration?

I'll watch Pulp Fiction today. You happy? :)

Broke my heart is more like it and yes, I'll be happy once you've seen it. :yay:

HURRY!! I can hear them! :csad:

The Russians found me!!!! I'm COMING!

speaking of Avatar: the last airbender, I can really recommend the animated original show to everyone. the tone is kinda Avengers movie'ish or Star Wars'ish, it takes itself seriously and all but it's smart enough to mix in plenty of comedic stuff as well. some episodes lean more towards comedy, but even then it's good/great humor and you can still feel the weight of the over arcing story there.

sure there are a couple dud episodes, but that's really the case with any show out there. 3 seasons, and the season structure is heavily omaging star wars. I don't guarantee any falling in love with it during the first episode, but for me it took like 3 episodes to get hooked

I'll take a look at it for sure, UWH!

I can tell, just by your enthusiasm in discussing the series, that it must be pretty great. I still remember enjoying the couple of episodes that I watched, but I guess my movie time on the weekends always kept my focus elsewhere.

In regards to something being childish, I never let that get in the way as long as you can moderately tell the material isn't aimed entirely at children. Hell, some people even say comics are for kids (it's absurd), but I can still see myself reading comics for a long time.

I should have done a simple Google search for the Avatar you're talking about. I feel silly for saying that :funny:

We say that the Spidey boards are a dark place but damn.....Bioware forums are a lot worse lol.

I shuoldn't have to mention this, but if you plan on watching A:TLA and/or are a fan, don't, I repeat, DON'T watch the movie. You'll hurt in places you didn't think you had.

I shall rise on the forum that I abandoned.

I must gather an army and face the bloodthirsty haters.

After that, you have my permission to fly.

Is any one playing to watch the new gotham tv show tomorrow night? I have alrease loved spider man and batman so with it being some what batman relatied I am going to watch it to see what it is like but I don't really have any expectations for the show.

This is random, but I must say, I love some of the moments between Spidey and Human Torch from the earlier issues of the original TASM.

This is from #18 where they both take on The Enforcers and Sandman. I could probably find a better example, but they complimented each other well, despite initially being rivals.

(I realize they go on to argue in this issue, but they still had some great moments)
